After a disciplined, dominating first half, once again the penalties kept drives alive leading to 21 unanswered points in the 2nd half.

Despite having our 3 starting wide receivers and tight end out, the backups stepped up and allowed Campbell to have a great day with 323 passing yards.  The offensive line was solid. McFadden and Moore shined.

The defense barely had any pressure on Fitzpatrick.  They allowed over 200 yards rushing, over 200 yards receiving and committed crucial penalties at the worst possible times.

The Raiders had this game in the bag but gave it away with undisciplined play in the second half. Very disappointing loss today.

8 flags for 85 yards and 217 yards allowed rushing. Looked like if we stopped just one of those items we take the game.

Looked like an old time AFC West type shoot out. We really needed this game before we go Jets/NE in back to back weeks.

At least the Chiefs suck royal and we can rest asured we have no chance at being the bottom dweller this season.

Agree. And Chris Johnson had a chance to win the game and make up for the PI's against him. I guess it's true that DBs are just WRs that can't catch.

Tough games ahead for sure.

at least your QB has improved 100 fold over JaMarcus "where's my money" Russell ...

It was tough to watch as the game slipped between Branch's hands in the end zone in the closing moments of the game.

On the plus side -- it looks like we may have ourselves a receiver, the Rookie looked pretty darned good.

I didn't get to watch the game and only seen highlights, you are spot on in your penalty observations as they can defiantly determine the outcome of a game. Tough loss but on the positive side clean up some penalties and I could positively see some more W's in their season.

Despite the negatives, the Raiders played a good game. They are lookin' tough and poised to be real contenders, if not this year, definitely next. :)

Thanks for the condolences all - there are definitely some positives to be taken out of this game. I probably shouldn't have posted right after the game ended! I was definitely at a high level of frustration...

The schedule doesn't let up though. Last week the offense was shaky with the penalties, this week it was the defense. Sure hope next week both sides clean it up (and the week after, and the week after...)

My guys face your guys in two weeks, LIHI. Here's hoping that one is a good game too.

Bumpski.

Where are Peachy and DJ? They did a publicity TD for this game and it's the only reason I tuned in for the final 10 minutes. Crazy ending.

The way the Pats are playing Lady, I hope it's a good game too.

The Raiders could / should be 2-0, but its the Raiders after all. Very much improved over last year so far !!

With the Pats, Bills and Jets at 2 - 0 I'm just waiting for things to fall apart.

I still think if they can get a handle on the penalties they have a shot at a good season. The Chiefs don't look so formidable anymore, Denver is Denver and if the Chargers hold true to form, they have a rocky patch ahead.

They need to be coached to play smarter. It's a kick to the groin to make good plays on offense and defense and have penalties wipe them out.
