2007 is over and 2008 is here, my New Year's Resolutions for the people in "SPORTS".  For (Pat Bowlen) owner of the (Denver Broncos), My Resolution is for The President and Coach of the Broncos to add one word into the job description"ACCOUNTABILITY"!  For (Mike Shanahan) my Resolution is,  To "STOP" blaming everybody else for the crappy job that he's doing.  For the Denver Bronco fans is, to separate criticism to the head coach from the team; just because "I Love My Denver Broncos" does not mean I can not criticize the Crappy job that Mike Shanahan is doing! And for the National sports scene here it goes,  For (Roger Clements) admit your mistake and come clean.  For (Barry Bonds), you are not alone admit it and stop denying the truth.  Barry please just retire!  For (Mike Vick), Be flexible in more than just one sense of the word, learn to be humble and take it like a man. Ha, Ha, sorry guys I just had to throw that in.  For Dan Hawkins, "This ain't intramurals Brother, It's Division one,It's the Big 12", play like it."  For an NBA twist, for "The Answer " (Allen Iverson),what's the question?  For Iverson and (Carmelo), please involve everybody in the offense and play like a team instead of like individuals.  For the Commish of Baseball, (Bud Selig) please stop playing stupid and pretending like you didn't know about the wide rampant use of steroids in your sport on your watch!  For the Bloggers of fannation have a Happy New Year and be safe out there, here's hoping to hear and read many wonderful blogs about anything and everything or  in other words about "Life and Sports".  Like my favorite sports personality, Jim Rome says; "Goodnight Now"!

Well your new years wish isn't going to come true Bowlen has already sat down with Mike to talk about who they are keeping for next season. Seems like Shanahan will be back, and TRUST ME I'll be reminding you of this group this time next season when Cutler is preparing for his first pro-bowl and the Broncos are getting ready for a playoff game.

December 31, 2007  03:47 PM ET

Thanks,BSchwartz07 I knew I could count on you to keep me grounded and from getting too far ahead of myself. Happy New Year.

December 31, 2007  03:48 PM ET

happy new year, while we may not agree on a head coach, at least we are pulling for the right team.

December 31, 2007  03:48 PM ET

and you know you would LOVE to eat your words, if eating your words means seeing this team winning again.

December 31, 2007  03:55 PM ET

Right on Brother in Arms! Have a safe tour over there in the Iraq and such as. Like all of us U.S. Americans Thanks for your sacrifices!

December 31, 2007  03:57 PM ET

hey at least we have a QB, and Brandon Marshall looks like he is going to be VERY VERY VERY Good

December 31, 2007  04:01 PM ET

Marshall is going to be great and hopefully Walker can get healthy. Imagine a healthy Javon and the two Brandons? That would be awesome for Cutler to have.

December 31, 2007  04:02 PM ET

BATES IS GOIN!!! YES

December 31, 2007  04:04 PM ET

Bates was gone when they changed his scheme and his D-linemen, it was a matter of timing!

December 31, 2007  04:13 PM ET

Yeah i read that he changed his scheme from week to week b/c he was clueless on how to deal with the players on this team. Bly admited that at times he just did whatever b/c half the D didn't know what Bates was going for.

December 31, 2007  04:14 PM ET

and once Bates is officially gone my Broncos pic shall return. So if anyone hears before me please shoot me a fanmail and a link.

December 31, 2007  04:17 PM ET

Nothing official, but according to rumors they are promoting from within. the Defensive line coach or the linebacker's coach are in line to succeecd Bates.

December 31, 2007  04:35 PM ET

yeah, I don't know who they would pick, I say take Rivera from the Boltz, he was the coordinator for those great Chicago D's and now he is just a LB coach.

Also I REALLY want to see Rod Smith join the coaching staff

December 31, 2007  04:53 PM ET

Wow, B, I was thinking the exact same thing. And I agree with your first statement. Life and Sports, we may not agree on the coaches, but we are Broncos fans and we need to stick together.

December 31, 2007  05:40 PM ET

lynchisout to get you,So you aint holding a grudge no more against me for starting this group?

December 31, 2007  05:50 PM ET

Rod Smith would make an excellent coach, specially on offense where they need a new direction and innovative ideas for their passing game. how about John Lynch as Defensive coordinator?

December 31, 2007  06:25 PM ET

Smith was basically the WR's coach this season, EVERYONE is giving hime credit for Marshall's growth this season, including Marshall.

Lynch would be a great coordinator, but I don't want another player/coach, I'm hoping to see Lynch on the field in 08.

As far as this group goes, I don't ever see myself joining, but I'm working on getting the admin rights to the Broncos fan club since the guy that used to run it isn't even on this site anymore. If that doesn't work I'm starting the "Mile High Club"- Bronco fan's answer to "feel the steel"

If you want to write for either one let me know (anything that isn't so anti Mike, he will be here in 08 so you may as well look at the good things on this team)

December 31, 2007  06:40 PM ET

It would be an honor to write for any of your groups, and don't worry I'll keep the content appropriate to the right group.
