Michigan Wolverines Defeat the Florida Gators, 41-35!
Many were counting out the Michigan Wolverines. Many on this site, and 91% of the people on ESPN were expecting them to lose. On this site, there were 3 brave souls who knew for a fact, they knew that they would win. If you were another, I am sorry, I didn't know. Those 3 were BSchwartz, Krobe 09, and Myself. That isn't important, I am just giving recognition!
Here was the score summary:
This was a tough physical battle. TimTebow was unable to run much, and the defenses could not stop each other. The Best rush offense in the country could not hold off the Wolverines early. Then the Florida offense took advantage late in the first quarter. Next, they could barely do much late in the 2nd quarter. Where Michigan scored a Pair of touchdowns. Then Michigan recovered a pooch kick on the 40 yard line, and took it down a ways. They then opened a bigger lead. Florida used their high powered offense to score 21 straight points. Lloyd Carr and Michigan looked on. Chad Henne drove his team down the field for the score to give them the lead. Urban Meyer decided to go for it with 2 minutes left in the game on 4th down, and couldn't convert. Michigan then retaliated and Lopata kicked a field goal. Urban Meyer then went for it again on 4th down, and failed to convert with a bad throw. Michigan's blitz kept Tebow on his toes all day. Henne took a knee, and the gatorade was dumped on Lloyd Carr. This was one fof the best games I have ever seen in my life.
I knew they could beat the Gators, yet almost everyone on this site was trying to say they stood no chance, and I saw a few throwdowns that said Florida would beat Michigan in a Blow-Out. I didn't think so, and that was not how it happened at all.
The Florida Gators wanted the game, but the Michigan Wolverines wanted it more! Their seniors played their hearts out in this game:
Chad Henne had a Career Game:
Michael Hart Contributed as Always:
Adrian Arrington Came Up HUGE:
2 FABULOUS Catches
The defense did all they could, and held Tim Tebow to not do much damage rushing with only 58 yards. Harvin was the hardest player to stop, yet the Wolverines banged him up late in the game, so they could not get their last two, 4th Downs converted, and they defeated the Florida Gators, 41-35!
The Michigan Offense Came Up Huge. They finally showed up in the Capital One Bowl!
