I would blame the pit crew and the C.C. for a number of JPM's failures this year.

I think there are a few more drivers in the series that deserve to leave before JPM. Dave Blaney, David Ragan, Reagan Smith, Mike Bliss, & Robby Gordon to name a few

Manimal1022; Ragan has shown flashes of brilliance and I think he will be a decent driver , not a great one but not a field filler either. The others all go out for a start and park but Blaney puts a few good runs on the board. I would love to see Robby fire himself, he gets me nervous when ever he gets near a driver I like. Robby is a rare bird. LOL

OK I will give you Ragan but all of the rest need to pound pavement. LOL

That's an interesting idea, but NASCAR can't dictate who the teams put in the driver seat. (Aside from making them get a license and pee in a cup.) Most of the ones you mentioned, I'll add Kenny Schrader to that list too, are generally nice guys who know how to schmooze sponsors. That is just as important as knowing how to drive these days.

From that list Burton , JPM, Biffle, have shown some greater moments.....however thos moments are getting fewer and farther between.....Burton is a surprise this year as he has been consistently 24th ~ 25th in points.

My guy to fire would be ~Mears~

I'll certainly agree along the lines of blaney, etc, but I guess I was thinking along the lines of the overrated. .. underachievers---nobody EXPECTS much from blaney, mears, robby

Logano is overrated in my opinion...BUT.....he needs a few more years to prove himself....too early to fire him. LOL
Mark Martin is also overrated (his good days are behind him).....BUT.......he has solved his own problem and will be part time next year.

Bowyer, Burton...... wasn't the last time RCr fielded four cars, there were performance issue pretty much across the whole company?

Jack Rush must be spending most of his time recently, trying to have all four teams fully sponsored and never all white paint.

JGR doesn't seem to have any ambition to go to four. I wonder, to myself at least but will voice it here, is Smoke making a smart move adding a team?(divorce yourself from the kermita and go daddy issue and simply consider the additional employees and real estate, corporate meetings etc.)
