Back to Hockey: NHL Preview 2011
The Sixth of October marks the First Day of Hockey in the US and Canada. It looks to be a real exciting year of action on the ice. the 2010-2011 season ended with Down fall of Luongo, the rise of Tim Thomas, and upset win of Bruins.
Where will the finalists stand? Will the domance of Crosby's Penguins pertain or will Nicklas Lindstrum's 'A' game defense take the Wings all the way? I got my beliefs and here they are:
The Bruins are somewhat short on talent despite winning the Stanley Cup. They don't have alot of "big name" players. I think the Canucks will have success. They got the talent and the will to win and will be dominant as long as Luongo doesn't choke. As always Detroit and Pittsburg will battle in the standings as they are two very evenly matched teams.
Crosby is coming off of a concusion and Evergeni Malkin should be as elite as possible and to aid them the underated Chris Kunitz is serving at left wing. Meanwhile Nicklas Lindstrum, one of the top defensemen in the league, turns 41 years of age and it's likely this will be his last year in the NHL. I look to the Russian forwards Henrik Zetterberg and Pavel datsuk to be top of the thier game.
I look forward to this year's NHL action and hope everyone finds my articule interesting and informative. Comments are Welcome!

I think the Canucks will rebound from last year. I think they've got the best team. It all depends on if the Sedins diisappear again during the playoffs
