I hope that the Georgia Bulldogs and the Florida Gators are proud of themselves for not having the intestinal fortitude to accept a Rose Bowl invitation for 2008. The Bulldogs beat up Hawaii, a junior college team from the lowly WAC, and the Gators couldn't even beat the hapless Michigan Wolverines. Illinois lookes so bad in the Rose Bowl that it was a frank embarassment to the Rose Bowl Committee who selected them. The Big 10 has never been weaker than it was in 2007-2008, yet the Ohio State "pretenders" got invited to the title game. LSU will demolish the over-rated Buckeyes. LSU deserves the National Championship, but the Georgia Bulldogs and the Florida Gators disgust me for being afraid to play the USC Trojans in the Rose Bowl. If the SEC football teams are afraid of competition, why do they even bother to play football?

LMFAO... since when did the Bulldogs and Gators turn down a Rose Bowl invitation? Last I checked, the Bulldogs were invited to, and ACCEPTED a Sugar Bowl invite, and last I checked Florida wasn't even in a BCS bowl... I doubt they turned down a BCS bid in order to accept a lower bowl...

Didn't Stanford beat USC? Wow. Hawaii may be junior college caliber, but Stanford is like, Junior Varsity High School. SEC is the best conference in college football. PAC 10, YAAAAWWWWNNN!!!

With all due respect (i.e. NONE), if you are going to start a battle of wits, at least be armed. Obviously, you aren't armed with facts and you are certainly witless. Sober up and post something that has an iota of truth.

SC should be glad Georgia was invited to the Sugar Bowl. They would have destroyed the SC defense. Illinois was a JV squad and didn't deserve to be in a January bowl game. Florida obviously wasn't offered. Georgia was a championship contender.
The University of Second Choices won. Be happy. Stop making up stupid crap like this.

Dude, if you are going to have a blog at least have some clue what you are talking about. Neither Georgia nor Florida were invited to the Rose Bowl. Also, just because USC beat up on a horrible Illinois team (fourth best in the Big 10) doesn't mean they would have beaten Georgia. Must have some really good "smoke" out there to start the New Year

The only teams you guys play are like the Hawai'i team only a little faster. All the PAC-10 is about is throwing the ball, you guys should grow some you know whats.--Keeper
Yeah, because Oregon passes so much more than Florida. They run the same general system and the Ducks run just as much. Oregon State: runs the ball. Arizona State: Runs the ball. Wazzou: Runs the ball.

What a ridiculous statement. Why would Florida or Georgia or anybody in the SEC be afraid of USC or the Pac 10 (probably only the Pac 2 or 3 is more like it). I don't recall either of these teams being invited. The Rose Bowl is so bent on protecting the Big 10 and Pac 10 reputations that they are the ones afraid to invite anyone from the SEC to come out. LSU would have loved to have come many times but that stupid out dated rule of Pac 10/Big 10 game has prevented settling some of these issues. I know one thing for sure, LSU will meet USC anywhere anytime. The Grandaddy needs to change the rules.

Outside of Arkansas, USC has lost just about all of it's games against teams not in the Pac 10 or Big 10. Remember Texas year before last. USC is a good program, but their helmets don't fit their heads.

John David Booty is at USC because he had his lip stuck out about his brother's performance at LSU. LSU and Nick Saban gave Josh every opportunity to show his skills and he just did not perform. Daddy Booty was fired from Evangel Christian and sent John David to USC. Too bad he is not going to play for the National Championship. He missed his chance, but We all have to live with our decisions.
