Everyone- so it seems, is upset that the Cowboys passed on Brady Quinn. What it amounts to is that they sold the rights to Quinn for a non-guaraunteed chance to draft McFadden next year. Its a gamble, and people want now - not next year. I guess its safe to say with the way Romo ended last season, cowboys fans have lost some confidence in the young player that was molded for years to eventually take over. Really, with Bledsoe gone - who else is left to play QB? Drew Henson was released last season, so the other qb project is done. They draft Isaiah Stanback - a QB, to become a WR. But now what do you have as insurance for Romo?
Would it not have been wise to draft Brady Quinn this year, and worry about next years draft prospects -next year?
And with the thought of drafting Quinn - come back with a 7th rounder and purchase the rights for Samardjza. Which would keep open the possibility of having a great qb/wr combo to start off with in the Cowboys new stadium down in Arlington.

Quinn would be the gamble. They have a great QB and almost every back up QB would be just that - a backup and not a star. I think it's quite a stretch to call Quinn a Franchise QB. There have been many, many good QB's in college that were a bust in the NFL. Great move by the Cowboys in my opinion.
Go get 'em Romo!
