Super Tuesday: Thongs and More

Greetings everyone this is Mel I usually do Thong Thursday but I have switched this week with Wildfan and he is going to handle Thanksgiving but don't worry Thong Thursday will be back on track next week. So with that in mind it isn't Thursday but I still plan on giving you all of the thongs you can handle and much much more. some of the ladies will be wearing more and some will be wearing less. In this weeks edition I am going to be discussing news from the NFL, NCAA, Soccer, Video Gaming, and the NBA that you may have missed. Warning: When viewing this blog keep your hands where you can see them I don't want anyone to get hurt. So enough already let's get going...

First up the San Diego Police are investigating a claim that Antonio Cromartie hit someone in the head with a Champagne bottle at a bar. According to Detectives the incident happened around 1am on Monday morning just a few hours after the Chargers destroyed the Broncos 32-3. When Police asked Antonio Cromartie what happened he said "I didn't throw the bottle it slipped". Listen up BB&S fans is it possible Antonio Cromartie was shaking up the bottle to hose down some hot ladies? Yea right he is just young dumb and full of C--... well you all know what I mean anyway I hope he gets whatever punishment the Commissioner decides to give him.

Up next in College Football Arizona wildcats Coach Mike Stoops apologized for one of Oregon's Cheerleaders getting injured Saturday during their game. This is what happened BB&S fans Saturday as the Ducks were celebrating their 44-41 double overtime victory in Arizona one of the Wildcat fans in the grandstand threw a water bottle and it hit Oregon Cheerleader Katelynn Johnson in the head giving her a concussion and causing her to be carted off of the field and taken to a hospital. I understand how emotional fans are but there is a fine line between acceptable and unacceptable behavior.

Up next in the wonderful world of Soccer in England the Wigan Athletics were destroyed by Tottenham a horrible 9-1. Matching a league record for the most goals scored by a team in a game. The Wigans felt so bad about their horrible performance that they want to refund the cost of the tickets back to the fans saying "we feel that as a group of players we badly let down our supporters yesterday, and this is a gesture we have to make and pay them back for their tremendous loyalty". On average the Wigans have around 17,000 fans. I mean as a fan paying money everyone wants to see a good game and when the Professional teams play lousy should fans be refunded their money? Personally I think cases fans should be refunded their money. What do you think?

For all of you Video Game fanatics Microsoft banned 1 Million Xbox Live players last week for Downloading Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 from a Pirate sites. Here is the deal BB&S Xbox 360 consoles are equipped with digital rights management technologies designed to detect pirated software but many players found a way to modify their machines to circumvent DRM protections and down load Call of Duty. Now if your banned from playing live you can play your Xbox offline you simply can't play it online. It isn't know if the ban is temporary or permanent but I think it is going to be permanent because this way Microsoft can force people to buy a new system if they want to start back playing online.

And last but not least in the NBA milliseconds after the first quarter buzzer sounded at the meadowlands Nate Robinson of the Knicks turned and fired a three pointer making the shot in the basket of the New Jersey Nets. The shot was waved off and did not count because the period ended milliseconds before the ball went through the hoop. BB&S fans Nate Robinson was trying to show off but the joke was on him because the coach D'Antoni was so upset he benched him for the rest of the game. That's all until next week....

Calilove's Monday Mayhem Holiday Edition vol. 22

What's BB&S!! Please forgive me for the delay, the Monday before a holiday is pure BS! Anyways, I won't disappoint, I'm starting off this blog with my holiday assisants as well as some new employees!!! So please enjoy!!!

What a Sunday of football we had, let's get to the week's quick hits!!!!

Raiders 20 - Bengals 17- With Jamarcus Russell benched (finally) it was good to see the Raiders compete. The Raiders really showed up on D giving Palmer a few problems. However, the football gods strike again with the fumble on the kick-off. The Raiders let the entire AFC North off the hook.

Chiefs 27 - Steelers 24 ot - Clearly the Steelers have shown that they can't hit the switch on that offense when they want. I quess defending that title is tougher than they thought. Wait till this Sunday Night vs. the Ravens.

Colts 17 - Ravens 15 - I'm still mystified at where this Colts defense came from! They got the stops when it counted and handed another loss to the Ravens. This makes Sunday's game a win or go home situation for both teams.

Lions 39 - Browns 38 - In a game everyone expected to resemble the Cowboys score, they almost became the game of the day. Stafford showed some real toughness that unfortunately will probably cost him the rest of this season. But for those 60 min. I enjoyed a shootout and didn't think about their pathetic records.

Packers 30 - Niners 24 - All I have to say is wait until Wednesday for my blog! The Packers did what they were supposed against a tired, on the field all the time defense. They're poised to make a wildcard simply because they don't have the Vikes anymore!

Vikings 35 - Seahawks 9 - Favre was simply dominating and Seattle could do nothing about it. I waiting on the Cardinals and Bengals games, because the Jay Cutler doesn't have a competitive bone in his body.

Eagles 24 - Bears 20 - I'm suprised I didn't see Lovie Smith head in the paper this morning! The fact that the Eagles are trying to find their way offensively is the only reason that this game was even close because Cutler played not to throw int's instead of playing the game.

Patriots 31 - Jets 14 - This game was a message to the league that the Pats aren't dead yet! The Jets front office needs to decide if Rex Ryan is head coaching material. The Sanchez blame can only go so far.

Jaguars 18 - Bills 15 - The Bills have too many injuries on defense, they should've been able to win an ugly game. Owens put on a show because they finally realize scoring and first downs involve throwing vertically down field. A new coach and a healthy team and who knows.

Dolphins 24 - Panthers 17 - Say what you want about the Phins but there's no quit in them! Unfortunately there are too many good records in the AFC for them to make the playoffs. You gotta wonder how much more time does the old ball coach have in Miami before Parcells becomes.......well Parcells?

Cowboys 7 - Redskins 6 - This is another wait till Wednesday because someone has to explain to me why there is still cancer spreading in Dallas. And Williams OMFG! wait till Wednesday!

Giants 34 - Falcons 31 - This was a pretty good game. It seemed that Eli realizes that his mediocure play will have them sitting at home in January. The NFC east is very much up for grabs.

Chargers 32 - Broncos 3 - Again wait till Wednesday!!!!!! How funny was the "Willis Reid" act by Orton that lasted two plays!!!! If you wanna crown em, crown em!! LOLOLOLOL!!!!

Saints 38 - Bucs 7 - Another week another win! The Saints managed to get their average in points! However if they start slow against the Pats who knows. I wonder how much defense will be played?

Cardinals 21 - Rams 13 - I still don't see why they continue to allow Marc Bulger to start a quarterback! He is the classic case of a washed up QB. At this rate Spag will will be an assistant on Hasslet's staff in that other league!

I'm really not ready for the holidays yet so for all of those who just love summer and what it represents, here's to you.......................

Here's the Phenomenal 5 for the week:

1. Colts - You gotta love that they can win ugly on the road

2. Saints - For now until they see the Pats

3. Vikings - Their schedule is a little soft but wins are wins

4. San Diego Chargers - Riding a 3 game winning streak and leading the divison, they're the hottest team in the league

5. Patriots - Until you kill em, they'll keep coming! They're a tough out!

As a pre-teen Breann discovered Playboy magazine in a stack of her father's mail. She became curious about the plastic cover. Breann discovered that within the pages of Playboy there were absolutely gorgeous women, and from that day forward she wanted to be one of them. She also took an early interest in acting. Often as a child, she put her mother's camera on her dresser and pretended she was being filmed, but her fascination with acting came second to her desire to one day pose for playboy. Boy , am I glad.

She recently posed for Playboy's lingerie edition, and has been chosen Cyber Girl of the month for September and Cyber Girl of the year. I'd like to help her with her other goal. If she still wants to act, she could dress up like a nurse, and we could play doctor. Hey, I'm just trying to help.

Today... is a good day. Today... as a loyal phinphan, I get the opportunity to RELISH the fact that I'm the only crazy SOB in the middle of BFE (actually Superior, WI, but one in the same) who LIVES and DIES with a team that's named after an intelligent creature, but not a fearful one. Yes that was a shameful jab at our team guys, but come on, we are the DOLPHINS for crying our loud.

Anyways, because of our victory yesterday, I am blessing you all with the graceful pressence of some TRULY amazing women. All of them are, shall we say, blessed in certain areas that we LOVE to stare at. I'm feeling quite generous today, and have picked my SECOND OR THIRD FAVORITE WOMAN OF ALL TIME TO GRACE BFL... and trust me on this... YOU WILL NOT BE LET DOWN.

I'll get my raving out of the way. My phins, being the team that looked horribly in trouble after losing Ronnie Brown, pulled out a HUGE victory this week beating up on the Carolina Panthers. Granted, the game was close. In fact, it came down to the last second. But [b]damn[/b] if we didn't get the W. It's the reemergence of Sticky Icky Ricky, and I'm loving every moment of it. If you had him, and you didn't start him in fantasy... SHAME ON YOU... That was probably the easiest pick all week. I want to point one thing out of this game that all you football freaks should know. Remember this name: VONTAE DAVIS. This kid is going to be an all-star in this league, and vs Steve Smith, he held him to a realtively mediocre game (85 and a td). Guy's aggressive, and I like it... Now, for the first time ever, I will have to root for the Jets this weekend. Saying that makes me sick. But NE needs to keep losing if we have a chance here fellahs. Way to go phins, keep up the good work. There's a long road ahead of you.

Side Note: WTF was Sporano thinking going for it on 4th down and 3, 55 seconds left, and on the 30 yard line? KICK THE FG... PUT THE GAME AWAY... we may have snuck out of that game with a W, but it was MUCH CLOSER than it should have been..

Yeah... Palin, let me tell you something. The minute that the picture of you in your shorts goes on the cover of Newsweek is sexist, is the minute that I become a transvestite. It's absolutely rediculous. YOU POSED FOR THIS DAMN PICTURE DURING YOUR *AHEM* VICE-PRESIDENCY RUN. Bet it sure got a Rise out of your freaking running mate. I'm not trying to start a political debate here, what I'm trying to do is point out the obvious. Remember when things were simpler? Remember when a women posed in a picture was not only Sexy (yes I used this word w/ Palin in mind) but PROVOCATIVE and down right Erotic? Hell, how many girlfriends of yours do you still have those naughty pix of. Was it exciting? Did SHE get excited too? My guess, unless you were taking them of her sleeping (perverts) that she was. This week in the NFL:

I'll be perfectly honest with you. This week in the NFL really shows up w/ a lot of weak matchups. Games like the Saints vs Tampa or Cleveland vs Detroit are pathetic. These games should be played at the beginning of the season, not at the end. What were they thinking? In any case, here are a few to keep an eye on:

San Francisco @ Green Bay: This game, although on paper may look like a blowout, may force Green Bay to man up and show what they really can do. Frank Gore is a force to be reconned with, and I don't think that Alex Smith has the talent to throw the deep ball vs a sub-par GB backfield. Yes, I understand that they basically shut Dallas out. But that was the first time that GB has looked like that since week 2. Let's put it to you this way. Should GB win this game? Absolutely. Will they? It completely depends on that Defense and the Offensive line. Who shows up will determine the game, and my gut tells me to go w/ Green Bay in a low scoring affair: 17-14

Game of the Week:

Indy @ Baltimore: It's the Peyton Manning show vs one of the best D's in the league. I think this is the one bright spot this week in the NFL overall. Flacco has looked like crap, but Ray Rice certainly has enough stuff to carry the load. I don't see this one ending well for Baltimore though, even if they are favored by 1 (I'd take that spread in a heartbeat for the record). Manning to Wayne or Clark or Garcon or whoever else you want to throw in there will be too much to handle. I'm calling Indy here to continue their unbeaten streak. Indy 28-Baltimore 21

Kevin Smith, RB, DET - Smith is licking his chops facing an absolutely horrendous Cleveland team. Start him in all formats, as he could go off this week

LeSean McCoy, RB, Philly - He's getting the nod w/ an injured Brian Westbrook. I think things could be good vs a relatively week Chi-Town D. And he could see a lot of time too with Jay Cutler throwing Interceptions left and right.

Vincent Jaxson, WR, SD - I think he bounce back this week, and BIG.. I know Denvers D is great. But you don't keep a guy like VJax down for long.

Sidney Rice, WR, MIN - 200 yards receiving last week. Need I say more? Favorite target of the man BF too.... Start him.

Kevin Boss, TE, NYG - I see another TD in the works for this guy. He's been great in the red zone.

Dallas Clark, TE, Indy - MUST START this week. Manning loves this guy. Look for him to connect w/ him and often too.

LaDanien Tomlinson, RB, SD: I don't think going through the ground will be much of an option here. LT has had his chances through the air though. I put him at 50/50.

TJ Whose your mama, WR, SEA: Vikings get their boy Antoine Winfield back this week. This game should be a drubbing of epic proportions.

Greg Jennings, WR, GB: Wow, I didn't think it would come to this J man. You have looked ROUGH lately. Donald Driver is clearly the man there, and not only that, Jeremichael Finley is back. All this leads to less Jennings Targets.

Visanthe Shiancoe, TE, MIN: I don't see him having too much of an impact. It will be all AP and Sydney Rice, all day here..

Brandon Pettigrew, TE, DET: If you're depending on him this late in the season... I have two words for you... UH OH...

Rashard Mendenhall, RB, Pitt - boarderline sleeper, as he's had some big games already.

Josh Freemen, QB, TB - Could be one hell of a player, if he gets his guys to work with him.

Thong Thursday: "Thongs all Around"

It's that time of the week everyone THONG Thursday "Thongs all around" In this weeks edition I am going to be discussing bad behavior around the wonderful world of sports starting with football moving to basketball, Golf, Boxing, Hockey, and Tennis. At the end of the Blog I have also added the Celebrity Nip Slip of the Week!!! Warning: When viewing this blog keep your hands where you can see them I don't want anyone to get hurt. So enough already let's get going...

First up Bud Adams... yes over the past three games the Tennessee titans have come a long way but Bud Adams behavior was unacceptable. Bud Adams feeling the need to celebrate during the final seconds of Tennessee's win over the bills walks down on the sideline of the Titans looks over at the Bills Sideline and gives them not one but 2 middle fingers. I am not sure what was going through the 86 year olds mind but that is unacceptable. And to make matters worse his rude gestures continued after the game. Before the game started he had breakfast with the NFL Commissioner and the Commissioner was in attendance during the entire game. Maybe bud has been holding in some anger and has always wanted to do it but the last thing the NFL needs on top of rude players is rude coaches. Bud Adams was fined 250,000 dollars for his behavior but I think the fine should have been more because 250,000 dollars to a NFL Team owner is like grocery money.

On Deck is the always colorful Dennis Rodman that's right I said it Dennis Rodman. Just when you thought he had dropped off the face of the earth he resurfaces but for all of the wrong reasons. Dennis Rodman was staying in a hotel in Germany because he had played in a USA Legends of Basketball game earlier and afterwards thrown a party at the hotel. Well the next morning Dennis Rodman got up, packed up his things and tried to skip out on the 5,100 dollars worth of drinks that the hotel supplied for the party. Just as Rodman was getting into his Stretch Limo the police pulled up and detained him. So Rodman not wanting to go to jail pays the 5,100 dollar bill and an additional 2,500 to avoid any possible legal proceedings. Completely unacceptable Rodman yes the economy is doing badly but 5,100 dollars wasn't going to hurt your pockets especially if you were getting in a stretch limo.

Is something wrong with #23 Lebron James??????? Michael Jordan recently attended one of the Cleveland Cavalier games and because many people consider Michael Jordan to be the Greatest Basketball player ever. Lebron James said he was going to change Jersey numbers next year and he wanted the 13 other players around the NBA who wore the number 23 Jersey to do the same so the NBA could officially retire the #23 in honor of Michael Jordan. Major League Baseball retired Jackie Robinsons #42, and the NHL did the same thing with Wayne Gretzky's #99. I am not sure if I agree with the entire league ban of Jersey Numbers for great players. I think it should be up to the team that the player played on to make the final decision. What do you think?

Drum Roll Please... Next we have Pro Golfer Doug Barron who was banned from Professional Golf for a year for failing a drug test!!!!!!!! Barron tested positive for Anabolic Steroid Testosterone, and Propranolol which is a beta blocker that calms the nerves. Barron argued the drugs were used under the direct supervision of a doctor for Therapeutic reasons. And to make matters worse Barron was so upset with the ban he went to a U.S. Magistrate to try to get a temporary restraining order to block the ban by the PGA. Needless to say the Magistrate banned him and he is left with hurt feelings, a low sex drive and a one year ban. Barron suck it up and take your punishment like a man.

Next up we have Iron Mike Tyson who for the most part recently has been trying to stay out of the spot light in a negative way. But as fate would have it Iron Mike Tyson was at the United Airline Counter at LAX in California with his wife and 10 month old daughter when paparazzi see him and begin snapping photographs. One particular photographer 50 year old Tony Echevarria was being overly aggressive in Mike Tyson opinion and feeling threatened and wanting to protect his self and his family Mike Tyson punched the photographer knocking him out. When airport security arrived and helped the camera man up off the floor. Mike Tyson made a citizen's arrest on the photographer and the Photographer made a citizens arrest on Mike Tyson. The Photographer had a plan and that was to get the photos of Mike Tyson no matter what and in the words of Mike Tyson "Everyone has a game plan until they get hit in the mouth" Paparazzi are known for being overly aggressive so who was wrong?

In the Wonderful world of Hockey the Columbus Blue Jackets loaned Promising forward Nikita Filatov to CSKA of the Kontinental Hockey League in Russia for the remainder of the 2009-2010 season. Columbus General manager Scott Howson said he made this move because he felt like Filatov would be able to further develop his game in his home town of Moscow. Out of 13 games this season this kid has scored a measly 2 times. Here is a 19 year old kid who has been unhappy since making the NHL club he is interested in scoring but not interested in developing his hockey game defensively. When playing hockey you can't be afraid to get in there and "get some" that's right i said it "get some". This isn't Divas on Ice this is Hockey, man up or get the Puck out of here.

And last but not least Tennis... Belgian tennis player female Yanina Wickmayer and male Xavier Malisse asked the Court of Arbitration for Sport to overturn their one year bans for missing drugs tests. BB&S they didn't miss not one, not two, but three drug tests in a year. This is how it goes BB&S Under the World Anti-Doping Agency's rules elite athletes must be available for out-of-competition testing for one hour a day 365 days a year. And regardless of where they go they have to give three months notice of where they will be so they can be tested. To Wickmayer and Malisse just say no to drugs and I bet next time you have to take a drug test you will get your Ace out of the chair.

What's up BB&S Nation! Yes it's me again with the world famous Are you Serious blog of the week!! However, this week I was thinking how I can make this the ultimate Wednesday stop. Then it occurred to me that the answer was in your comments!!! So I will be adding some new features to this blog that I'm sure you'll like! Are you Serious - The USC Trojans are rebuilding??!! Wow I never thought I'd see the day when we get 50 put on us twice but it is what it is. The real truth is that SC consistently sends 7-10 NFL ready players to the league every year. This year will be no different with 11 seniors on the team, not to mention whatever underclassmen decide to leave. Moreover, it's time to give the Pac 10 the respect they deserve. The programs that have worked to not only beat SC but reinvent their programs and bring back to a solid level of competition should be commended. Its official SC is rebuilding!

Are you Serious - The Titans win again!! So let me get this straight, the team obviously wasn't competing with Collins at QB (except Chris Johnson who is a beast!) and you wait 6 games to make a change. The truth: Okay, I'm not totally blind; I know that the level of competition wasn't what it was during the first six weeks. However, the Titan players clearly quit on Collins. I used to respect Fisher as a coach but you don't wait like that unless you really don't have a second option. Young is a lot of things but he will work to make plays. This team could've made the playoffs.

Here's one of my new segments called, "The Serious Women of the Day"! This is where I focus on a certain group of women that have something special to focus on!! I will also hit you with some fast truths as well! So today we will focus on "Serious Red Heads". I really don't like redheads, however, It's not about me it's about you guys!!! And honestly they're not so bad................I've learned to love 'em!!!!!

Fast Truths: Jauron is out in Buffalo and I hope the GM's don't stop there! Mangina, Fisher, I'm starting to think Rex Ryan is in over his head, Lovie Smith, Jack Del Rio, and Cable should all be handed pink slips! The Saints have peaked too soon! They will have nothing left in the tank come playoff time! Tony Romo is attracted to shut down corners! Although Dallas lost, they're still the class of the east but they don't beat the Skins Sunday. I told you so! I said Saturday that Cincy would beat Pitt again, Dallas wouldn't cover, the Dolphins wouldn't cover, I had the Pats in a blow out, and the Vikes wouldn't cover! Well 3 out of 5 ain't bad! Cincy is for real!! The Steelers have lost their offense, and Polomalu has nothing to do with the loss! I'm tired of teams going ahead late and then playing deep zone coverage with huge amounts of time on the clock (Pats and Bucs!!!) The Lions Browns game should be cancelled pending real football teams participating!!!!

How many of you watched the Monday night Football game last night??.. that was the most pathetic excuse for a game. The Cleveland Browns.. a once good football team looked like a division III football team. This team has no business being on the field and the people in charge of this team from President to the head coach should be ashamed of what they have put on the playing field..

Alan Iverson says he leaving the Memphis Grizzlies after playing only 3 games with the team. Iverson was unhappy with having to come off the bench.. but he's not the player he once was and the game seems to have passed him by..

College basketball has started the season with its games of heavyweights going against cream-puff teams. Last night in Lexington.. the Kentucky Wildcats almost found themselves on the losing end but were saved when freshman sensation John Wall made a jumper with 0.5 seconds to go in the game to lift the Cats to a 72-70 over Miami of Ohio. The RedHawks had led by as many as 18 points in the 1st half..

ESPN has a slew of college basketball slated for today and tonight with the more interesting matchups being.. Arkansas vs Louisville.. and Memphis vs Kansas..

Well thats the sports shorts for this week.. not going to talk about the Cowboys.. their actions don't merit conversation..

Monday Mayhem - Vol. 21: The BOW DOWN Edition

This week's Mayhem features what every guy loves: hot chicks on their knees... Lots to get to, so let's get started..

Week 10 of the NFL saw bad Cutler, critical injuries, who dey?!, and Bill Belichick's gigantic huevos... let's get to it, with Quick Hits.

- SF 10, Chi 6: This apparent defensive struggle was really a battle of two inept offenses. Cutler was putrid, throwing 5 INT, and Alex Smith wasn't much better, producing only 118 passing yards and one INT. The Bears won't win unless they can run the ball efficiently, and for much of this year, Matt Forte's been stuck in neutral. Much needed win for the Niners, but I doubt they scare anyone. Same for the Cubs.. I mean Bears..

- Car 28, Atl 19: The story in this game was the early injury to Michael Turner. Before he left the game, he had rushed for 111 yards on only 9 carries. Once he left, Matt Ryan felt the pressure to lead his team to victory, and as such, threw two INTs. Carolina turned both turnovers into touchdowns, the second of which essentially sealing the win for the Panthers. Delhomme played a second consecutive good game, and that allowed the Panther running game to get going to the tune of 185 yards...

- Mia 25, TB 23: You've got to give credit to the Bucs: they've been playing better. That said, they're still not very good. You can't give yourself a 13 point deficit going into halftime and expect to win very often. Freeman was solid once again, but he has very few weapons to work with. Derrick Ward is the forgotten man in Tampa, even though he actually touched the ball 10 times yesterday. Ronnie Brown's ankle injury will most likely cause him to miss the Thursday game with Carolina, according to the [i]Miami Herald[/i]. Can Ricky Williams carry the load...?

- Min 27, Det 10: Another day at the NFC North office for the Vikings. Despite Matthew Stafford's best efforts, this one was never in doubt. The good news for Vikings fans was that Favre went back to being game manager and let Adrian Peterson go off to the tune of 133 yards and 2 touchdowns on only 18 carries. What's a concern, however, is that Peterson fumbled the ball twice, the second of which led to a Detroit FG just before halftime. Sure, the Lions didn't really make them pay for the miscues, but the Saints, Cowboys, or Cardinals might..

- Jac 24, NYJ 22: Where have you gone, Mark Sanchez? After starting the season on fire, Sanchez has struggled mightily since the New Orleans game. Yesterday, he threw two INTs, one of which the Jags turned into 7 points. Despite the off day, however, the Jets had a chance to win, taking a late lead. The Jet defense, however, failed to stop the Jags as they drove 80 yards in 12 plays for the game winning field goal. Ironically, those were the only points the Jets allowed in the second half...

- Cin 18, Pit 12: Game of the day II. Who dey think in first place in the AFC North?! Absolute stunner, as the Bengals stroll into the Big Ketchup Bottle and complete a season sweep of the Steelers. Think about that for a minute: The Bengals have already swept the Steelers [i]and[/i] the Ravens, and we're only 9 games into the season. Provided the Bengals don't fall apart, they'll clinch the AFC North title and could quite possibly contend for a #2 seed. There's not really anything negative to say about either side. This was just a tough, defensive game, and the Bengals made more plays than the Steelers. I have a feeling we may see these teams meet again..

- NO 28, STL 23: Unexpectedly close, but the Saints found a way to win. Brees was once again slightly off, throwing 2 INTs, but luckily only one lead to points. Bulger and the Rams offense looked a little like the Rams of yesteryear, with Bulger passing for nearly 300 and 2 TDs, and Steven Jackson rushing for 131 yards, 1 TD, and adding 45 yards receiving on 9 catches. The Saints have really been struggling as of late.. if I'm a Saints fan, I'm almost hoping they lose, just to relieve the pressure...

- Ten 41, Buf 17: Don't be fooled by the final score.. this was a slugfest until very late in the fourth quarter. Down 10 with only 3 minutes left, the Bills throw not one, but [i]two[/i] INTs that were returned for touchdowns. T.O. finally blew up, in more ways than one. First, his best game of the year, even though he didn't score a touchdown. Secondly, the screaming match on the sidelines, which we all knew was coming. Vince Young continued his comback with another solid performance, and Chris Johnson continued his torrid streak, rushing for 132 yards, catching 9 passes for 100 yards, and scoring 2 touchdowns. It's amazing to see the Oilers.. I mean Titans.. playing as well as they have been after such a horrific start..

- Was 27, Den 17: Kyle Orton's gimpy left ankle was the difference in this game. His relief, Chris Simms, continued to be a source of embarassment for his father, and quarterbacks the world over not named JaMarcus Russell, with an absolutely putrid performance. Because of the Broncos' offensive ineptitude in the second half, the Redskins controlled the ball for more than [i]21[/i] minutes in the second half. Denver amassed a mere 27 yards of offense after halftime and zero points. Kyle Orton better come back soon or there's going to be chaos in the Mile High City.. Nice throw, punter!

- KC 16, Oak 10: In this week's battle of ineptitude, the Chiefs got their second win of the season thanks to the pathetic quarterbacks of the Raiders. Russell and Gradkowski's combined line: 13/32, 113 yards, 40.6%, 0 TD, 2 INT, 24.6 rating. That's as embarassing as this:

- Ari 31, Sea 20: I told you at the beginning of the year that the Cardinals weren't a one year wonder.. they're finally proving me right as they're at 6-3, first place in the division. Their success this year has come thanks to the defense and the... running game...? That's right, Beanie Wells finally appears to be hitting his stride, as he torched the Seahawks for 85 yards and two TD on only 16 carries. The Seahawks, despite getting some production from the running game, couldn't generate any offense in the second half. Seattle still had a chance, until Matt Hasselbeck threw two uncharacteristically bad INTs in the final 5 minutes to seal the win for Arizona..

- GB 17, Dal 7: Just when you think a team is on the verge of falling apart, they can surprise you and put together a fantastic football game. That's exactly what happened with Green Bay yesterday. Everyone in the world, myself included, thought the red hot Cowboys would go into Lambeau and dominate the demoralized Packers. Instead, the Packer offense controlled the clock, keeping their defense fresh and allowing them to shutout the Cowboys for 59:22. Tony Romo looked like he was forcing things, thanks in large part to pathetic blocking up front. The Cowboys only ran the ball for a total of 61 yards, and yielded 5 sacks to a Packer defense that can't ever seem to get pressure on the QB...

- SD 31, Phi 23: Another NFC East opponent, another win for the Chargers. San Diego won this game thanks to the brief resurgence of one LaDainian Tomlinson. LT played this game inspired thanks to his wife's pregame gift: a positive pregnancy test. The Chargers jumped out to a 28-9 lead, then held off the Eagles' late charge. Again, just too big a hole to climb out of for the Eagles, despite McNabb's 450 yards passing. Brilliant game by Rivers, especially on the final drive that chewed up more than 6 minutes off the clock... Westbrook lost to another concussion... if I'm Philly, I wouldn't let him play until the playoffs, and maybe not even then..

- Ind 35, NE 34: Game of the day. I'm sure most of us had this one circled on the calendar. The yearly brawl between these two is always spectacular, and this year was no different. A busy first half led to a quiet third quarter that turned into an unbelievable fourth quarter. After taking a commanding 31-14 lead, the Patriots seemed to have this one in hand. The Colts fired back in 2:04, to close the gap to 31-21. With 4 minutes left, again, the Patriots stretched the lead to make it 34-21.. even the great Peyton Manning can't lead a comeback from that... right? His response was to drive the Colts down in 1:49 to close within 6, 34-28. All New England has to do is get a first down. On 3rd & 2, incomplete pass to the sidelines that was nearly picked off. On 4th & 2, New England will punt and make Indy drive the length of the field for the win... right??? But no! Bill Belichick's enormous ball sack wants to end the game now... and is stopped short. Of course you know what happened next: Manning to Wayne... touchdown. Ballgame. Now, I know everyone is killing Belichick this morning, and while it was a dumb move, I'm not going to pile on the guy. It takes some serious fu[b]c[/b]king stones to go for it on 4th & 2 in your own territory with Peyton Manning licking his chops. For that reason, and that reason alone, I'll let Belichick off the hook... but damn that was stupid.

- Baltimore @ Cleveland: Can the Browns pull off a Monday Night shocker as they did last year? Can Brady Quinn be effective with virtually no offensive weapons? Can the Ravens offense get back on track against a soft Cleveland defense? No, no, and yes. This snoozefest will be over early.. look for the Nevermores to cruise, 34-7.

In college football this past week, huge games as always, albeit a couple in unexpected places. First, Cincinnati hosted West Virginia in one of their stiffest challenges to date. The Bearcats didn't play particularly well, but they held off the Mountaineers, setting up a huge showdown with Pitt in a couple weeks for the Big East crown and B(C)S berth. All the Bearcats must do is avoid a stumble at home against a disappointing Illinois squad. If you want a playoff in college football, you're rooting for Cincinnati to win out and crash the B(C)S title party. Same goes for TCU, who hosted a good Utah team in what was the last test the Horned Frogs will face this year. TCU jumped out early and never let the Utes into the game, putting to rest any thoughts of an upset. I am praying that the Longhorns can find a way to lose in the Big 12 title game against whoever represents the Big 12 North, especially if it's Kansas State. We'll also need either Bama or Florida to lose their rivalry game, and for the loser to upend the other in the SEC title game. Wishful thinking, I know... That leads us to the stunner: USC at home, against Stanford, with everything in the world to play for. You may remember that the Cardinal went into USC two years ago and defeated the Trojans, giving USC even more reason to come out and punch Stanford in the neck. Instead, the Cardinal jumped out to a 14-0 lead, and never let USC get any closer than 7 points the rest of the way. Stanford polished off the Trojans in the 4th quarter with [i]4[/i] touchdowns, putting up an embarrassing 55 points on USC. As a result, Stanford has essentially eliminated USC from the Pac 10 chase, and quite possibly the B(C)S. The Cardinal's work, however, is far from over. To clinch the Pac 10, Stanford must win out, and hope that Oregon, Oregon State, and Arizona all lose one of their remaining games. Stanford holds the tiebreaker over Oregon, but loses the tiebreaker to both Oregon State and Arizona. Should be quite the wild finish in the Pac 10...

Saturday night also saw the fight everyone wanted to see: Manny Pacquiao vs Miguel Cotto for Cotto's welterweight title. Many felt this could be where Pacquiao would stumble, against a true welterweight. Early on, Cotto seemed to be proving that theory correct, as he took the first round and was competitive until his third round knockdown. In the fourth round, however, Pacquiao took control, knocking Cotto down and taking his will from him. The rest of the fight was sadly one sided, with Cotto virtually running away, especially in the 10th & 11th rounds. The referee finally put a stop to the bludgeoning at 0:55 of the 12th round, giving Pacquiao his seventh different division championship. This guy is the best fighter of this era, by far. His next match has to be with Floyd Mayweather Jr. Mayweather had better wake up, however: Pacquiao is the draw, and Pacquiao should get the lion's share of the gate. That's the only thing that can derail this fight: Mayweather's ego. I personally believe that Pacquiao would punish Mayweather, even with Mayweather's extraordinarily defensive style. Not only that, I [i]want[/i] Pacquiao to hurt Mayweather.. maybe that will shut the idiot up for a few seconds...

This week's Musing will delve into the one topic that's eluded these pages for a while: BEER! Now that Thanksgiving is next week, and Christmas is around the corner, many brewers release a holiday ale or two or three. My favorite of all time is Samuel Adams Old Fezziwig Ale. For those not familiar, it's a brew in the winter warmer style, which means it is generally sweeter, dark, may or may not be spiced, and is brewed in the winter. The alcohol content is usually around 6.0%, although many brewers go higher. Anyway, back to Fezziwig. Sam Adams markets this beer as a "Christmas cookie" beer, and if you've ever had it, that's not far off. When you first open the bottle, take a moment to give it a sniff. You'll find cinnamon, but there's also a hint of ginger and vanilla as well. It is sweet at first sip, but the finish packs a spicy punch. Very light bitterness. This is a great beer to enjoy with your Thanksgiving dinner, or those leftover turkey sandwiches while you watch football over the weekend. The only bad thing about this beer is that it's only available as part of the Sam Adams winter mix pack. The other two holiday beers that come with Fezziwig are the Holiday Porter (very good) and the Cranberry Lambic (very disappointing). If you're at the store this week, pick up this mix pack and crack open one of the Fezziwigs... you won't be disappointed.

Billard is also making a big splash as a celebrity event host in Las Vegas nightclubs. (think Paris Hilton, except with a much nicer rack and far better personality)

She is also the Unofficial MySpace queen (www.myspace.com/bobbibillard), with almost 1 million friends, putting her No. 4 in the world for total friends and popularity. I still can't get past the wrestling thing. She could put a scissor hold on me anytime.
