Cyd Zeigler says Matthew Mitcham's gold medal is the greatest achievement from an openly gay athlete of all time. Zeigler said he wsa the only openly gay athlete in Beijing. They had to get a grant to send his partner to Beijing. And this was the only non-Chinese diver to win gold. But NBC ignored his sexual identity.

Walker: LPGA rule un-American

GOLF.com's Michael Walker says that the LPGA's English policy is un-American and unsportmanlike. Walker says that American leagues pride themselves on bringingin the best players because it's the best. The LPGA doesn't embrace that.

Chris Drury, of the Rangers, was on the Trumbull, Conn., team that won the Little League World Series in 1989. He had a lot of interesting things to say. He said he wasn't allowed to throw curves. And also, he had no idea how big a deal that team would be -- and that was a good thing, because they were loose.

The LPGA is requiring its players to speak English and most writers think this is about all the Korean players. The argument is that these golfers have to interact with sponsors.
