I thought this was the year they could win it all. I mean the defense has not been anywhere close to what i expected. They only lost 2 players on defense and I thought they replaced them with 2 better players. But they have been hit with a ton of injuries also. The run game has been nowhere near what expected either. Just when Cedric started to turn it on he gets injured. They have had a sloppy year with lots of penalties. But hey I will be looking forward to next year and hope they can play better next year. This should be a very interesting off season for the Bears. We will see what they use their first round pick for. If they sign Briggs. If they sign Grossman. Who will they get to improve the team. These are some questions I have now. I hope that they can pull together. Go BEARS!

Fri, 07 Dec 2007 23:26:46 GMT http://www.fannation.com/blogs/post/86775 Brian Urlacher Sad Year for the Bears http://www.fannation.com/blogs/post/86736
With the loss last night to the Skins the Bears have been eliminated from the playoffs. Fisrt off it is totally different to tape someone and take all their signals and know what is going on than having someone watch them, like a bench player or a coach. If someone can watch you and take your signals from you that is talent. But using video image to cheat is a huge no no. Roger Goodell did an okay job of punishing them I believe but i believe he could have done a little more. I believe he should have also made them forfiet the game against the Jets. He could have also suspended Belichick for a game. Goodell did suspended Wade Wilson for 4 games for taking HGH . Which i believe he shouldnt have really gotten suspended at all, since he isnt playing on the field and he was taking it for a medical reason. Belichick is also a dumba** for using it on Eric Mangini one of his former coaches. This also makes us wonder how good Tom Brady and the rest of the Patriots are. Now i will say they are good but this had to be a big advantage. If he would have suspended Belichick and made them forfiet the game this would have sent an even bigger note to other NFL teams if they were doing this to stop. This brings me to the NFL. Goodell could also add another two games to the suspension if a player test positive for steriods. As of right now if a player test positive for steriods he gets a 4 game suspension which is 25% of the season. In MLB if a player test positive for steriods then he is suspended for 50 games which is 31% of the season. If Goodell would do this he would be sending a message to everyone. While two more games doesnt sound like that much it would put 6 games for suspension and it would be 38% which would be above the MLB. Which the NFL is the most popular sport in America. This would send a message to all the little kids who watch this who idolize players in the NFL not do steriods. Also I would like to point out that everyone thinks that nobody in the NFL has taken steriods or is taking them right now. Hint they are and have. The other day I heard some scientist from the World Anti-Doping Agency may have found a way to detect HGH. When Gene Upshaw heard about the test and if he would be willing to have the NFL players take this test he said no he wouldnt let NFL players take the test and he was against it. Tell me something isnt wrong with that picture. Not trusting the players maybe. While the MLB said they would use it if it was accurate. Anther thing I dont see any MLB players who have tested positive for steriods getting any commercials or endorsments. While Mr.ICHEATANDUSESTERIOSSHAWNMERRIMAN is all over the Nike commercial with Steven Jackson. I dont see Barry Bonds on any commercials and he hasnt even tested positve for steriods, though we do all know he did use them but that is another story. He still hasnt tested positive in a test. He would be a huge endorsment player. The NFL is not as squeaky clean as everyone thinks it is. Now this may not sound like I am a fan of the NFL. Dont get me wrong I love the NFL but there are problems with it and it is not so perfect and some things could be changed. Now i hope that the rest of the season is great and very competitive and has no other contervesial topics.
Sat, 15 Sep 2007 01:48:25 GMT http://www.fannation.com/blogs/post/59198 Brian Urlacher
