Keeping it real

More drivel from a doofus

I haven't put out (hopefully that doesn't get censored) a blog for a while. I was hoping to get one co-written with my oldest, ‘except after c', but we couldn't get it done this week. Maybe we can get to it next week. So for now you are stuck with me.

Only 96ish days until football

I have stood idly by while the offseason whizzes right past me. With all the action going on, I need to get in on it. So, here goes my first offseason sportically active (1) blog. Well, partially sports related.

(1) Kp Kahder

On my last blog I said that I would be changing it up a bit and keeping things real. The end of my blogs will be a Journey to Manhood section devoted to my commitment to give my sons a sound definition of what it means to be a man. I will always put these at the end so that you can leave after the sports section. Ha! See what I did there? Sports section? HAHAHahahaha.... No? Ok, neither do I. I'll leave the comedy to the professionals.

Say, buddy can you spare some change

Life is all about changes. Everything changes. Nothing stays the same very long. The only question is how are you going to deal with change? In his book "Who Moved My Cheese?" Spencer Johnson portrays dealing with change as either mice named ‘Sniff' and 'Scurry' and two friends named ‘Hem' and ‘Haw'. The book tells the story of what happens when their supply of cheese is moved. It is a great book and I strongly recommend it. Anyway, since life is about changes, I am making some changes myself.

Heads or tails?

What is the biggest decision you make each day? For most of it is something like white or wheat, flip-flops or Birkenstocks, or how many times to hit the snooze button. There are some who can't seem to make up their minds even if you told them what to do. That describes me somewhat. At least in regards to FanNation. A while back I tried to take a hiatus, but was not very successful. I love the camaraderie on here and I have made some great cyber-friends. I have also made some cyber-not-friends which I don't care. I even tinkered with not blogging anymore, but I can't do that because I love to write even though I am not very good at it.

Divisional Picks

I have finally recovered from Wildcard weekend. Now maybe everything will get back to normal. Who knew the Seahawks actually had a defense? Who thought that Eli could actually win a playoff game? I'm serious. Or perhaps they are winning because Shockey isn't there. Everyone thought they were doomed when he went down but they have looked so much better without him. They are like the Tracy McGrady-less Rockets - they have gone 6-2 since he got injured. See I do know about something besides football. Just don't tell anyone it might ruin my reputation.
