Final Pre-Training Camp Roster Prediction

Players report on Thursday, so this is one of the last days to do a roster prediction.  It feels like now is the best time for one, so here it goes.  53 players make it on the roster, 8 on the practice squad, and I will put 10 that should keep in touch if injuries take their toll.

Good News About Peyton & Marvin

On the "Waddle and Silvy Show" on ESPN Radio in Chicago, Coach Tony Dungy had a few comments (which you can hear here) that can make a Colts fan day.

"Marvin's doing great and should be ready to go when training camp opens," said coach Dungy, "He was running pretty well at our offseason workouts and really smiling and feeling good I think for the first time in a while."

Uh-Oh: Peyton Has Knee Surgery

Some of the scariest news a Colts fan can have came up today.  According to WTHR-NBC, Peyton Manning had an infected bursa sac in his left knee, which was removed in a routine surgery Monday afternoon.  He will be out 4 to 6 weeks.

Run Like Hell

July 4th to July 23rd is a tough time.  There is nothing going on.  Besides the stupid Brett Favre rumors, the NFL is inactive all over.  So when I was searching through the blogosphere to see if there was any breaking news on the Colts, I found a fantasy football site that predicted the rushing stats for the Colts.  Fantasy Football Views made some bold predictions, and some of them were very bold.  However, there are some mistakes I have found.  Here are their predictions:

NFL's Top 50 Players

I loved Prisco's top 50, but there were definite faults in it.  Even though he did a great job tackling the Brady v. Manning topic, some of his picks were, how do you say, questionable.  Here is my attempt at naming the top 50 players in the NFL.  With 1696 players on the active roster, cutting it down to 50 is tough, but here I go.
