ASP TOUR KICKS OFF!!

As the start of the ASP tour gets closer and closer, smaller contests have already started. It is time to predict who will be the next king of the real "sport of kings." Several questions surround this years tour. First will Mick Fanning be able to repeat? A hard thing to do in the world of surfing. Will Slater take another 10 million dollar pay day from Quiksilver, just to compete? If so we all know what Kelly can do. Will Andy, now that his rivalry with Slater has cooled down, find another reason to get angry? We all know AI surfs better angry. Can C.J. Hobgood stay healthy to win the title that he is talented enough to have. The best all around surfer in contest waves. Will Knox, the power surfer, finally win?? GO PATRIOTS??

What a terrible time it is to be a sports fan. The Seahawks aren't playing any more, the Sonics never win, the Huskies aren't great (WAZZU is awesome though) and the World Series Bound Mariners haven't taken the field yet. As a sports fan I usually keep somewhat in-tuned to what is going on though, however this year I have had it. It is because of teams like the San Diego Chargers that leave such a bad taste in your mouth. The team, while talented, has the mindset of a junior high school student. How ironic is it that they were crying in their soup last year about New England being classless, when they fit that word to a "T". Rivers, who is an average QB at best, has no idea how to act like a winner. He makes a butt out of himself on a weekly basis. DE Philips is an idiot to the fullest extent. Merriman has toned it down this year and has been humbled (thank you Jones-Drew) so I will lay off him. I like LT. He is a good Christian man, but he sometimes gets pouty; however he doesn't say dumb things. Which brings me to IGOR. If my name was Igor I wouldn't want any attention. Why can't they just shut and play?? Again it is a second tier player that opens his mouth, leaving his teammates to suffer the payback (ala Pittsburgh). I despise everything East Coast and I love surfing in San Diego, and I can't believe I am saying this but I hope the Patriots win. Yuck I can't believe I said that. The Hoodie is an idiot and east coast fans are sociopaths but this team doesn't run its mouth, and they are undefeated! The Chargers will get beat down in this game, I am thinking 50ish to 10ish. They deserve that kind of slap in the face too. How can a coach stand by when his players run their mouth like this?? I probably won't watch but, Go Patriots.

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!

      As Christmas rolls into town this year, I would like wish everyone on FANNATION a merry Christmas and a safe New Year. Fannation is fun place to talk sports. I think most know I am a Seattle homer, but I am proud of it. Back to Christmas....I hope we all remember what this holiday is about. It isn't about presents or drinking or a big guy in a red suit. It is about the birth of our LORD and SAVIOR, JESUS CHRIST. The only one that defeated death and led a perfect and sinless life. He did it for you, me; all of us. I think sometimes we forget that and celebrate Christmas the way society wants us to celebrate it. I pray that you all enjoy your families and the special times you have. Please remember JESUS and how much he loves you. HIS door is always open and GOD wants to be a part of our lives. We can't make through the world without them.
