So, I decided to take a break from the T & R and all the bull that was associated with the haters and the liars and the wanna-be's. The Adam Jones or TO threads were just a bunch of Giant bandwagon fans- Cowboy haters, Redskin and Eagles fans.. thats ok, I get it !  - for the most part- and the Pats threads? Well all I can say, is you can teach a man to fish but hey.. if he doesnt get the message, he's a useless crew member and off ya go.

I always show up on Wednesday. I love Wednesday's (thats when Pier 11 puts out their blog). I come here on Wednesdays just for that. The Love It Hate It blog is great and the guys who write it are top notch! (You know who you are.I'm not going to mention names because I like you!). You should check this blog out !

So anyway, I've been staying out of the T & R, out of TD's for the most part. Its Cape Cod ! Its sunny and I live on the beach. Would you rather have the summer off and spend it on FN or would you rather take the wave runner out? The sad addiction of FN at night draws me back. My 6 year old is asleep by 7:30 and I'm, quite honestly, bored. I'm bored. You say to yourself, "KP, how can you be bored living on a beach on Cape Cod?". Trust me, when you live in a subdivision owned mostly by "summer people", and Meg is the only kid for miles, from June to September, trust me. you get bored. Or aggavated?

There's no NFL. Its way too early in the MLB to dedicate 3 or 10 hours. So I check out my friends at PT, I go peruse the TD's. I look at new groups. The one that caught my eye was this group The What the F*** is with these people group? They call it ???

Tired of ppl writing crap about soccer on T&R

Are you kidding me? You know what? First, the creator is illiterate, and he's just stupid ! They actually sent an invite to members of the very group that they are "tired of"

They really and truly pissssed me off when they wrote the name for that group and then sent us invites. You FUTBOL fans? you need to lighten the hell up. Good God people, the Eagles may have a freaking courtroom at the stadium but you all KILL YOUR FANS ! You stampede. you SUFFOCATE and you STAB some poor chit that has the opposing team's jersey on ! You are rabid and you're sick and you need some attention. (Hopefully the attention comes with a syringe with ativan). You're sick. This is a FAN BASED website and you all go absolutely ballistic if someone posts a comment thats not soccer related? You need to get a **** LIFE ! Find a girl, a wife, hell, find a PET ROCK ! You're on an AMERICAN BASED WBSITE ! The only FOOTBALL we really care about is the NFL or The NCAAAF.. yeah we'll cheer and root on the USA teams at the Olympics etc, (God knows I keep cheering for the Revolution.) This is  The United States of America ! Free Speech and all that wot wot. We love the NFL.  I have never met a bigger bunch of whining babies than on the soccer T & R's. When you run off to the Mods and cry and whine that "goddamit, you cant make fun of soccer" only reaffirms out belief that you are a bunch of " cry baby, have no smack to talk cause you're not out of diapers yet". Give it a rest. Most of us are sick of your whining and honestly would rather see T & R's on the French Open and the tennis world! Get over yourselves !

This is not to say  that soccer doesnt have decent fans, of course they do ! My good friend J Hova is a fan. Keeper is a great blogger and loves soccer - God Bless both. They dont go all stupid though !  When they talk, people listen. They're smart, insightful and have something worth saying. THATS the kind of fans you need ! Do you have to be so MAMBY PAMBY and make comments to me like this

I have had some major league good times on FN. OMG, I have laughed so hard at the Friday Debates. If you haven't read them, do it. Its great ! Especially with the Refried Peas ! OMG ! Refried Peas ! ?? Oh wait.. wrong blog - meh. Whatever..same people...read the Friday debates anyway. So much fun on a Friday. Laughed my ass off with J Hova (man, Trinidad is wheres its at. Who loves ya, 2nd cousin on my fathers side ?) , RStowe (noone calls me an idiot like RS ! ),  IAM (damn crazy duck who I can convince to do ANYTHING!) , LW (dude, women do NOT like men who adore wombats. A WOMbat is NOT a WOMan), Harry Callahan (Oh My, I'm so happy to see you! <shiver>). IB4 (God, you're a good lookin dog!), Josh (yeah yeah whatevah !  voice of non reason blah blah blah ! ), Dan ( I so wanna get drunk with you!). GOAT (you is one funny hombre!) and my very favorite, Steelercooz (we're cyber married ya know ! ).. I've had fun with CCC, Tracy, Dudeman, Ey', Dyhard, Anthony, and the Rumor Mill and Night Owls. I've spent ALOT of time at FN Vegas with CCC talking Celtics. My favorite groups though are the Women R Us group (headed by my gal Cassidy - who I love dearly),  The Knights (say NI!) the NASCAR group where I hate DC, IB4, BluesAriel and TRENT (j/k) and of course my most fave group - Pillow Talk. My best sista Ferrell (HA!), my "gang" PimpyLooka (BALFMA!), Becca, Hooah! , Hllywd !!! , G/R, My favorite drunk Eli! , Loki, H.A (or whoever he wants to be that day), Epoch, Jackmanrob, Devs, Lady D, BC, my fave bud- Urnze, BPM, jctoo, Bens, "Iowa", FMSD, Willj, so many to list, and so many of them rabid Cowboy fans!Dave, Hooah, Cowboystar. JCMD, - but the man with the strategically torn blue jeans that wears a pair of tan workboots, <sigh> I got my eye on him. He's Sin-fuly Delightful!!

Patriot Dismemberment

First it was Asante Samuel signing with the Eagles for a 6 yr deal. 57 million. Far short of the 10 yr 100 million he was asking for. But a good deal nonetheless for the up to now, flightless birds of Philly. This wasn't a surprise, noone expected the Patriots to overpay Asante - and true to form, they didn't.

Now it's Donte Stallworth signing with the Browns. 10 Million in guaranteed money. Now this isnt exactly a surprise, we all knew that Stallworth wouldn't be in New England and I called it this morning when I said  on a T & R thread that I expected Stallworth to sign with Cleveland or New Orleans. Cleveland has done some major damage in this first weekend of Free Agency. Whereas the Steelers have had a virtual lock on the division for several years, those days are numbered. Cleveland and Crennell are building a powerful looking team. If I was a Steeler fan, I would start looking in that rear view mirror.

The Minnesota Vikings recently disclosed that Kenechi Udeze, a DE for the Vikings has been diagnosed with Leukemia. Udeze will be 25 in March. At this time, they have not released what type of leukemia Udeze has.

I am acutely aware of how deadly this disease can be.My cousin passed away at 14 from leukemia. If caught in time, the remission rate is high. With various treatments and procedures and the advances made every day in research, many adults and children live many years in remission and have wonderful and fullfilling lives. Sadly, many victims, far too many of them children under age 10, succumb either because the disease is too far advanced or advancing more rapidly than normal or because no bone marrow match can be found.  Although mostly seen in adults over 60, leukemia can strike anyone anytime. There are 4 types of Leukemia. The most common among children is ALL or Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia. This disease strikes mainly children under 15 and over 5000 were diagnosed in 2007.

The more common form of Leukemia in adults is Acute Myelogenous Leukemia  or AML -Approximately 14,000 people were diagnosed with AML in 2007. The risk increases with age and certain other health factors may contribute to the onset. Although mostly diagnosed in adults, approximately 1 in 5 children diagnosed with leukemia are found to have AML.

The other two forms of leukemia are CML and CLL. There are almost 100,000 people living with CLL and it primarily strikes adults over 50.

This is a devastating disease for a child, an adult, a family. How many times have you seen flyers in supermarkets or your corner store for Bone Marrow drives to find a match for a neighborhood teen or other community resident? How many times did you participate? Why didn't you participate? No time? Maybe you thought enough people would so you weren't needed? Well you are. Please. Take the time. Its painless, and you only need to do it once. Go and give some blood and get into the Bone Marrow Donor Registry. You can find out how at http://www.marrow.org/. You could be just what a 25 yr old man , a 14 yr old girl, a 5 yr old toddler or a 55 yr old grandparent needs to live. Don't keep telling yourself you will someday. Someday is today.
