The Love of the Game

Let me start off by asking who couldn't love college basketball? The players here have much more passion than the NBA. Money is not a factor in how they play, when they play, or who they play for. They play because they love the game. With so much at stake in the NCAA Tournament, these players put their heart and soul into their game. This power allows almost any team to be upset if their opponent tries hard enough (Duke vs. Belmont) and greatly increases the joy taken felt while watching the games. When was the last time you saw Kobe Bryant playing his guts out for his team in the playoffs? Last time I checked it was all me, me, me and I, I, I. When in a crisis, Kobe has just as quickly given up on and betrayed the Lakers as a the Colts on Baltimore. The main thing about the college game is that most the time, there is no name on the back of the jersey. The players play for the name on the front only. They lay it all on the line for a school, a team, and the fans. That's the way all sports should be played. Let us all make a resolution today to play a little more unselfishly, a little harder, with a little more class. But most of all just have fun playing the game the way it was meant to be played.

Why Roger's Wrong

If you actually believe that Roger Clemens is telling the truth than you are living in Yankee heaven and need to have your brain examined. Brian McNamee has no reason to lie about anything. He did enough damage by providing the steroids and HGH. Like Jason Whitlock said, Roger Clemens has become obsessed with himself. His greatest fear is the day when baseball fans no longer see him as a god. Unfortunately, that day has already come because there is not a single soul that can't see straight through his blatant lies.

Bye Bye Belechick

My three least favorite teams in the NFL are, in order: Pattycakes, Cowgirls, then Giants. I can't stand either team but I absolutely detest the Patriots. I have no moral or fundamental hate for the Cowboys or Giants, they're just division rivals. The Patriots are a prideful team, they are sore winners, and as recently evidenced, sore losers. The greatest part about the Patriots losing was wiping that smug smile off of BB's face. Prettyboy looked like he was having some girlfriend trouble and the linebackers looked like they were having strokes. What it came down to was that the Patriots underestimated the Giants and did not play with the passion that most underdogs have. They made careless errors and did not perform down the stretch.

Presidential Campaign

Looks like things are pretty tossup right now between Hilary and Barack and Romney and McCain. After the Florida primary, where Rudy staked out for weeks, McCain appears to be the front runner for the GOP nomination. However, if the people of America can think clearly, they will see that Romney really is the better choice. What most people want right now is change. McCain has already run for president and lost, he is over 70 years old, and has told of very few ideas for change. Romney on the other hand turned the state of Massachusetts around. He reformed the health care system and united the state. Romney's religion should not even be a factor in this election. So what that Mormons are a little different from everybody else. They are deeply religous people that have high standards in all that they do. I happen to know many of them and they are the nicest people I have ever met.

Out With Snyder

Let's begin with saying that Dan Snyder is an idiot. Rewind to 2004. Snyder hired Joe Gibbs to turn the franchise around and begin paving a path for the future. For the most part, Gibbs did great with what he had. He focused on veterans but slowly turned to young players for the future. Sadly, Gibbs retired, but he left a great team for the nect coach. The Redskin's had built their team around smart, young players and made it to the playoffs. Immediately the players and most fans call for the defensive coordinator Gregg Williams to be named coach. Present time--Snyder has fired multiple coaches including Williams and offensive coordinator Al Saunders. Snyder has officially ruined any continuity that the Redskins were trying to keep with them over the coaching switch. Not only has Snyder damaged the continuity, this move is a slap in the face to the players, fans, and overall successful coaches.
