Breaking down the NBA MVP race

I'd have to say that this year's NBA MVP race has been one of the tightest, most exciting races in history. At least, as far as I can remember.

So here I am. I'm gonna break down the race for you, and maybe actually pick a winner for the prestigious award.

The Candidates: Chris Paul-Hornets, LeBron James-Cavaliers, Kobe Bryant-Lakers, Tracy McGrady-Rockets, Kevin Garnett-Celtics

First up: Chris Paul.

The Rundown: CP3 has had a truly incredible season for the Hornets, statwise and team-wise. First, he has just dominated, socring 22 points per game and averaging nearly 12 assists, but that isn't all. He's also led the Hornets, who won only 39 games last season and just missed the playoffs, to first place in the competitive West.

Tales from the classroom: erwin's legacy

Good afternoon children. I have a wonderful story to tell you about a little boy. This boy is a lot like me. Can you imagine me as a little boy? *Class shakes heads, boy with ADD yells YEAH!*

*Teacher laughs* I knew you wouldn't be able to think of that. But this is an astounding story. Now hush up, and listen to...

My Start on FanNation: by Jay Thomas

When Jay was just 18 years old, he was everything. He had it all. He was going to college for the University of Michigan and was very excited.

But on one bright May day, May 12, 2007, he was very, very bored. So he decided to look at a couple of his old Sports Illustrated magazines.

In one magazine he saw an advertisement for a website. It was called, "FanNation: The Republic of Sport."

So Jay, curious as usual, hopped onto his Mac laptop. He typed in the address.

Then he got started. He created an account, and "erwin" was born.

His first throwdown was against BirdsTakeBowl, and the topic was "Ultimate fighting is one of the fastest growing sports." Jay won. And so begins the legacy of erwin. He is still solidifying it today. His next milestone attempt is 50 wins.

*Teacher closes book* So, class, how did you think that story was? *Class yells, IT WAS GOOD!*

I'm glad you hope so, because that boy was me!

The Demon of All Demons

It has been called the demon of all demons. It's destroyed careers. Lives. Killed men who weren't meant to be.

It has taken a man hostage and killed him, and no one ever knew why.

Have you ever known a player who declined late in his career? It's especially obvious in running backs. Their legs are tired and worn. They stopped fighting for yards. It is known as Over-30 Syndrome.

But this, the demon of all demons is widely unknown in the NFL.

Bracket Gods?

Since when have you known me, Erwin, maybe one of the strangest people you've ever met, to be good at anything?

Um, probably never, unless you're hiding a camera in my apartment or something. Or in my shower. Wait, that's siht. If you are doing that, you're a pervert.

So I would hope you're not, but I know for some people it's not possible to resist the urge. So go right ahead and I'll have you arrested and thrown in the clink.

Sports Fantasies. Volume I

To my elementary school, Orenthal James Simpson Elementary!

There are about 400 kids in the school, ranging from grades kindergarten-5th grade. The school is made up mostly of kids from L.A. and Buffalo, although some lived in Honolulu, Hollywood, and of course, Grand Rapids, Iowa. Hollywood, Florida, by the way.

The teachers haven't left the school in decades. Average age: 72. They lived in poor, run-down houses, and left their spouses.

I had a couple friends. Blake Griffin. Nick Calathes. Oh, and my best friend, Corbin Bleu from High School Musical.
