W.W.J.E.D.? or What Would John Elway Do?
This being Jay Cutler's third year in the leauge, it's a pivotal year for the young quarterback. I offer a little piece of advice. Jay, anytime you have any doubts about what to do, just think of five simple letters. W.W.J.E.D. or What Would John Elway Do? John's personality would not let him give up, even if he was down by two touchdowns with 2:00 mins. to go in the 4th. quarter he would "Refuse to Lose". Jay, I'm not suggesting that you are the next John Elway, but I do see a lot of similarities in your games. Both of you have better than average "Rocket Arms" and both of you are just mobile enough to get out of trouble. The only thing missing from your "Game" that John Elway had? That win at all costs attitude! Anytime you find yourself in trouble just think of those five letters and you will find your answer. I wish you and the Denver Broncos all the luck in the world on and off the field. And if things don't work out as planned, just remember John Elway was the "King" of improvisation. He would improvise plays on the field with his athletism, he would even make up plays that didn't exist in the playbook. He would scrap the headcoach's (Dan Reeves) plays and would work together with the offensive coordinator (Mike Shanahan) to come up with plays that would work for a specific situation. So remember Jay, life and football don't always go according to plan. Be prepared to do as John Elway did and "Dump" your headcoach and go in a different direction. Late...
