Bio's Mock Draft #1 - 03/10/08

Actually I made two, lol

 PICK TEAM PLAYER POSITION COLLEGE
1. Miami Dolphins: Durant Brooks, P, Georgia Tech
The Dolphins suck, so they'll be punting a lot.  It only makes sense to invest in a solid, young punter.
2. St. Louis Rams: Matt Ryan, QB, Boston College
He'll be starting in Week 3 when Bulger goes down with a concussion, like always
3. Atlanta Falcons: Brian Brohm, QB, Louisville
This pick makes sense because he has chemistry with Bob. . .oh wait. . .

Armanti Edwards is the freaking TRUTH

You guys should know him.

He's the QB for that team that beat Michigan in the Big House earlier this season.  No, not Oregon, APPALACHIAN STATE.

Well, here's Edwards' stat line from the playoff game against Richmond tonight:

14/16 (87.5%), 192 Yards, 3 TDs, 0 INTs - 250.2 Rating

31 Rushes, 313 Yards (10.1 YPC), 4 TDs

Those 313 Rushing Yards are the NCAA FCS (Div 1-AA) single game record.

And this guy is a Sophomore.

This is the FCS playoffs too, it's not like they're playing some scrub team.

Bio's Weekend Musings

There's only two.

1) Is David Garrard an Elite QB?

Truth be told, it all depends on how you classify an "elite" QB. Garrad in 8 games is 136/209 (65.1%), 1626 yards, 9 TDs, 0 INTs for a 103.1 Rating. He is the only starting QB left in the league that hasn't thrown an INT, and his rating is 4th best in the league.

While yes, he's not out there throwing 2 TDs+ a game, he's not doing anything to make the Jags lose though. He has 1 total turnover this year, and that was a lost fumble on a bad snap.

1997 NFL Draft Check-Up: Wide Receivers

Stolen from ballplayr9 (who did 2002 RBs http://www.fannation.com/blogs/post/55610), who stole it from DJTG_2010 who did the 2003 QBs.

So here goes.

Round 1

#7, Ike Hilliard, New York Giants; 130 games, 437 Catches, 5251 Yards, 30 TDs.  Now on the Bucs, not exactly what you'd want from the 7th overall pick, but he's still in the league.  Not a bust.

#15, Yatil Green, Miami Dolphins; 9 games, 18 Catches, 234 Yards, 0 TDs.  I'd call him a straight up bust but he never really had a chance to prove himself.  First day of training camp he tore his quadriceps muscles, ACL and cartilage in his right knee.  Only played in the 1999 season.  10 total surgeries.

Thank You Miami

Thank you for being such jerks to Culpepper.

In his 3 preseason games with us he is 15/28 (53.6%) for 200 yards and 3 TDs, for a QB Rating of 112.2.  He's only been sacked twice AND he's shown he has most of his mobility back, scrambling 7 times for 30 yards, or 4.3 YPC.

So where are you with your QB?

Trent Green is 17/33 (51.5%) for 143 yards, 1 TD, and 2 INTs, for a QB Rating of 47.9.  He's been sacked at least 3 or 4 times, and possibly 5.  He's scrambled once for 2 yards.
