I knew the Celtics would win

Okay, I was a little scared for a day or so, the C's seemed to have lost their spunk.  I was so sure this series was a sweep for the Celtics.  Afterall, the C's had beaten the Hawks 3 times during the season and the Hawks had a losing record coming into the playoffs (which by the way, should never happen, but that's another story).

After the first 2 games in Boston where the Celtics won by an average of 21 points, I thought for sure it wouldn't go more then 4 games. Everything was right on schedule , but then they went to Atlanta and all hell broke loose.  As game 3 wore on it seemed like the Celtics were a little flat, especially on defense.  Tied at halftime, I assured myself they would be better in the second half.  It was not to be and the Celtics fell 102-93.

You Pick the Team Name

With almost a month into the baseball season, there are alot of teams that are sitting there with losing records.  Fifteen to be exact.  I know some of these teams were considered contenders before the season started, so I thought I'd combine two of the bad teams and see if I could make a team that could contend in either league.

Not today little Kiddies!!!

I guess Derek Jeter is no different than any other athlete.  I know that he's a Yankee and well respected, Blah, Blah, Blah.  Last Saturday in the Four Seasons hotel in Boston a few kids saw Jeter and approached him for his authograph, but he wouldn't even speak to them and he didn't even have the decency to tell them himself, he told his burly bodyguard to intervene.  He could be loudly heard saying, "I don't want to sign any autographs."

HGH Suspension.......Why Me?

Yesterday, Jordan Schafer, Atlanta Braves' top Double A prospect was suspended for 50 games.  Now I'm all for punishments, but I'm sure Jordan is asking, why Me?  I would have to agree.  Currently there is no test for HGH, so how was he identified?  Mike Teevan, MLB's manager of media relation, said, "we have non-analytic means of identifying players." what does that mean?  I have so many questions and very few answers.

NHL News!!!!!!

Please go easy on me, because I'm not a Hockey fan, nor do I follow it in anyway.  I can't tell you who plays on any team or what the positions are.  I could point out the goalie, only if he were standing in his position with all his gear on.  I don't know who are the big stars or little ones.  However, it was mentioned to me that I left out Hockey in my last blog "around the leagues".
