Fantasy Sports Talk Members' Blogs

Still busy...

If Paul Simon can be Still Crazy After All These Years, why can't I still be too busy. Not only that, but I guess I'm not terribly filled with ideas. Nor do I especially care for this group to be a one-sided platform for my point of view alone.

As I mentioned previously, any member can write a Blog, post a topic on the Message Board, or just leave a comment. I would participate more if others were participating more as well. Maybe it's in our nature to be more leisurely during the baseball season. As opposed to football that could be true. The NBA playoffs are in progress--but don't look for anything from me there. I imagine fantasy basketball is over. Don't know anything about basketball. Or NASCAR...

Been Busy--Fantasy Baseball!!!

Sorry I haven't been around much lately. There's been quite a bit of stuff coming at me from many directions. I'm finally starting to get caught up with my Fantasy Baseball teams--it really bothered me to fall behind. But there are higher priorities in life.

I see some new people joined. And, maybe one or two members have left. For the new members, every member can write a blog. Or participate in any other way on the Message Board or Locker Talk. Feel free to add your two cents--especially right now.

An Awsome Fantasy Baseball Team!

Hey yesterday I did a mock draft on ESPN.com and my team turned out amazingly well. To bad it wasn't a real draft.  Here was what my team looked like after the draft:

1B- Adrian Gonzalez
2B-Brian Roberts
3B-Alex Rodriguez
SS- Edgar Renteria
CI-Jeff Kent
MI-James Loney
OF-Anduw Jones
OF-Michael Cuddyer
OF-Austin Kearns
OF-Adam Dunn
OF- Carlos Lee
Utility- David Ortiz
P-Daisuke Matsuzaka
P-Trevor Hoffman
P-Chad Billingsley

Fantasy Sports and Friendship

Don't know about most of you. Just know that I (and a few others) are seriously caught up in Fantasy Baseball right now. Although I swore I would not make the same mistake I made in FF by signing up for too many teams, apparently I'm living proof of good intentions gone astray. Part of that is because I installed an additional RAM Memory Card (1 GB now) and my computer seems to be moving near the speed of light. And, of course, part of it is I just get too caught up when I start looking at different sites and all these team names pop into my head. At least most of the leagues are weekly roster changes so the daily demands won't be that great. Still, it'll be a wonder if I'm not totally exhausted and ready for an extended rest by the time the season's over. Hopefully, some of that weariness will be offset by at least 2 or 3 or more championships I can add to my bragging rights.

Some Thoughts on Fantasy Basketball

Here are some thoughts for fantasy basketball now that the deadline is over:

Atlanta Hawks -- New addition Mike Bibby appears to be fitting in well. He's scored at least 17 points in three straight games and has had seven-plus assists in back-to-back games. He's another go-to option in the offense, though, and that could cause a bit of a leveling out in the scoring totals of Joe Johnson, Josh Smith, and Marvin Williams.

Boston Celtics (BOO!!! CELTICS SUCK!!!) -- The Boston Globe reports GM Danny Ainge is thinking about adding another player. Among the possibilities are Brent Barry, who is being looked at by up to five teams, Sam Cassell and Chris Andersen. Barry could be a decent source of outside shooting, but won't be much of a Fantasy option outside of really deep Rotisserie leagues. Cassell would need to be bought out by the Clippers by Friday or else it's not worth it because he would not be eligible for the playoffs. His presence would affect the Fantasy value of Rajon Rondo. Andersen would not see enough of a role to matter in Fantasy.
