The NBA is FLOPPING
The NBA is no longer a competition of athletes, rather it has turned into a parade of lame actors flopping all over trying to leverage the officials to change the outcome of the game. This sick little disease is spreading due to the likes of Manu Ginobili. He is the most foul perpatrator of this lowly act. He has infected his team and it is spreading quickly across the leage. Even Steve Nash and Raja Bell have resorted to it at times. Why? Because the officials have bought into it and San Antonio is living proof that it works. Case in point: in last night's game against the Jazz, Fisher slighltly bumps Manu and he goes flopping with hand flying in the air instinctually. Result? Fisher gets T'd up. Or what about when Manu gets yet another foul called on him while shooting a 3 pointer. I don't know how getting your hand slapped results in you falling to the floor, but hey if it gets a 90% free throw shooter to the line for 3 attempts in a close game, why wouldn't you do it? Perhaps the only smart official that saw through this crap over-reacted and got tossed out of league for the remainder of the season. Thanks, Tim Duncan for perpetuating the ruination of your sport. If you were a real athlete, you would rely upon skill to win games and not resort to acting, flopping, and trying to work the reffs. It's sad that the players have empowered the officials to the point where they decide the outcome of the game. Stern and/or the owners need to do something about it. Why not have a few coaches challenges per game? Why not have "flopping" be an automatic T? Something needs to be done because it is just getting rediculous and I am losing interest and respect for the game.
