Madden 09 Features

After viewing the trailers for Madden 09 I see that the game will be a lot better then last years version.For one the staium and playing field look a lot better.When you call a play you see a detalied stadium and a more tv like field.While your running you also see more of the screen since its a fartherback view which makes for a better game.Once the play has ended the players dance and brag like they do in real life.Also the scorboard has gotten smaller so you see more of the screen and in snowy weather you can now see footprints and flashbulbs from the croud during important moments.

The Big East Title Game NCAA Football 08

Today I played a season with the Uconn Huskies,remembering one game,here it is

Its the final game of the season for Uconn and WV,both teams are 11-0 and have nation championship dreams in the back of there mind,who ever wins this game goes on to be the big east champion and play in the National Championship,alots on the line.After 3 quarters it was 28-0 WV but some how some way,the score didnt stay that way at the end.
 

WV was at there own fourthy to begin the 4th quarter,on the first play they threw a sixty yard bom for a touchdown and the score was 35-0.The next thing you know BAM Uconn scores on the kickoff return.With just over 2:30 left(I play 3 minutes) the scores 35-7 and now there momentum lader has decreased for WV.Uconn decided not to go for an onside kick,instead kicking the ball as high as the kicker could,on the return one of WV's running backs got the ball,looking for a td return he decided to hold the ball with one hand and BAM FUMBLE.After a few seconds of rooling on the ground a huskie player picks it up and now its a game.The first play was an option which got stopped behind the line but then on the next play,they go deep,as luck would have it the defenders right on the widereciver and a safties coming over to try to get the pick,the saftey tips it up in the end zone after just barly missing the int,but the wide reciver #3 dives and makes the catch right before it hits the ground,and the scores 14-35 with less then two minutes remaining in regulation.

Super Bowl XLII.5 - My Way

A couple months ago I was playing Madden '08 Superstar Mode. I was Adrian Peterson and I clicked the "Trade Me" button a million times. I finally was traded to the team I wished to be traded to - the Indianapolis Colts.

One thing that made this trade even better for me was that they traded Joseph Addai to get me, so I didn't have to worry about a backup showing me up. So, we go through the first 7 games of the season undefeated, and than the big one came. Super Bowl XLII.5.

My "Fun" Time

Just a short blog in the Sports Gamers.

I have MLB 2K8. I'm in a franchise with the Mets. Yesterday I was locked up in a 1-1 battle with the Atlanta Braves. I have my bullpen going because Orlando Hernandez, who's doing great with me all game with only a solo shot gave up, is getting tired.

I get out of the 7th inning with El Duque at 1% Stamina. Dauner Sanchez is in the bullpen; I'm hoping for runs in the bottom of the 8th so he can set up Billy Wagner. I go 1-2-3 in the 8th, though, but I put Sanchez in because according to ERA he's a reliable reliever and I don't have too many of those.

Going Retro: Triple Play

Hey it's been a while since my first and only "Going Retro" blog. Now I've come back with my bringing-back-the-back-in-the-day blog in the Sports Gamers group. This time it's on EA Sports' Triple Play 2001, the game shown above with my favorite player, Mike Piazza, hitting on the cover. This came out the year after the Great Homerun Chase between Sammy Sosa (pre-cork era) and Mark McGuire (pre-alleged roid use era).
