Brandon Marshall injured

What happened. He was doing so good and then this.

Over the week Wide Reciever Brandon Marshall of the Denver Broncos, badly unjured his arm in a freak accident. He was repported slipping on a McDonnalds bag and falling into an entertainment system. Although he was badly injured. His recovery time is only three months and he should be back in time for July. It is not like a Knee Injury or any broken bones, so he likely won't be that much affected. Don't worry to much. People around froums are saying his career is over and he will never be the same. Don't listen to them because the fact is that this injury as serious as it sounds is not that big of a deal. Tony Scheffler last season broke his foot, and look at the season he had, pretty good. Javon Walker keeps screwing up his knee and coming back, he also had surgery. Brandon Marshall only damaged some nerves and some other areas of his forearm, so don't worry. Trust me you will laugh about it later when he makes the pro bowl and gets 1500 yards recieving and 13 td's.

Mock Draft Denver Broncos first 5 rounds

Their are many needs for the Denver Broncos in the Upcoming season. This Mock Draft will break down the needs of the Denver Broncos and when they will try to aquire them.

Round 1

Desean Jackson- The only recievers on the Denver Broncos i can see making an impact is Brandon Marshall, and Brandon Stokley, with the addition of Desean, the Broncos can have an explosive return man, and a speedy reciver who the Broncos haved lacked since the bust know as Ashley Lelie.

Round 2

Kenny Phillips- with an early second round draft pick the Broncos can aquire Kenny Phillips, this was a hard choice seeing that the Broncos have other needs. The Broncos desperatly need a athletic, physical, good covering safety. The Broncos have lacked that since Steve Atwater. Lynch is a excellent safety he just does not bring the puch and passion that he once had in Tampa Bay. With Kenny Phillips the Broncos wont have to worry about TE's getting monster gains because of our lack of speed and agility at safety.

Round 3

No third round draft pick. Traded to the Jaguars for moving up in the Draft to pick up Jarvis Moss.

Round 4

This pick is reserved for a DT- One of the best DT's the Denver Broncos can get at this position is Red Bryant out of Texas A&M, based on the top 100 draft prospects. But thier are many more Dt's the Broncos could be picking up so this pick is based purely on what the Broncos can aquire at this round. With Marcus Thomas being a steal in the 07 draft last year because of his behavior off the field, the Broncos could be looking to do the same thing and aquire a DT late in the round.

PS- The Broncos are know for aquiring very good players late in drafts- for example Brandon Marshall, Marcus Thomas( even though he has not got a real good time to showcase his skils, he did end up as a starter by mid- 2007 season. The Great Rod Smith was undrafted! Look at the numbers he put up. You can't forget Terrell Davis he was a 6th round draft pick pick number 196, and what is he now you ask, the Broncos all time leading rusher. He is also a analyst on Nfl Network. These are just a couple out of a long list. So the late rounds are very important to the Dener Broncos and it would be hard for me to just pick out players specifically this late in the rounds.

Round 5

The Broncos need an OT after the Matt Lepsis Retired this year, this late in the round you can find good. players especially if you are the Denver Broncos. Eric Young would be a good fit to protect Jay Cutler. Young was part of a group that only allowed 4 sacks in 2007 with Tennessee. He is also physical and strong and uses his strength to overpower DL men. This is a vague thought though, the Broncos probably will go in a different direction with an OT but I am just giving the idea of what the Broncos will probably do in the 2008 draft.

Look for the Broncos to be aggresive in the 2008 nfl draft. After saying that they will not focus on free agency too much and focus more on the NFL Draft this year. The Broncos are looking to get younger and better this upcoming season and it all starts in the Draft.

Later in the rounds you can be looking for the Broncos to pick up a no-name Running Back as they did with Selvin Young, to fit in Denver's Zone Blocking Scheme. It would not supprise me if we picked up Tashard Choice out of Gerogia Tech. He is physical and we have spoken to him. He said he would be a "good fit" for Denver's Zone Blocking. He is on youtube if you want to see how he performs.

Brothers united

With the addition of Rodney Boss Bailey, the Broncos have two brothers who are destined to do bigger and better things in the 2008-2009 season. Boss Bailey recently in his career has been criticized for not being durable enough and not being able to play consistently, but you have to realize that the team he played for. The Detroit Lions were not know to be a play off type team. His skills were not put to use effectively and as a result he never got to show his real talents. With Denver Boss Bailey is being coached under Bob Slowik under Slowik the Broncos attacked the run better and were utilized more. He will not be droped in the zone like when Jim  Bates was the defensive coordinator, because we all know that Jim Bates scheme did not work well with Denver. Boss Bailey benefits the Denver Broncos by being very athletic, he ran a 4.5 and also had a verticle jump of 41 inches, and he also has the size, being 6'3 he is what you think of when you think OLB, fast, athletic, and big. Boss can add alot to a once old LB core he is young and he knows how to play. This is a benefit for everyone Champ Bailey wanted his little brother Boss Bailey on his team for a while and i would not be supprised if they both performed better because of it. They can both learn from each other and Champ can be a happier person because he has what he has been wishing for. Be looking for a better defensive LB core with the newer Denver Broncos. As DJ as our weakside linebacker, Boss as our strongside linebacker, and Koutouvides as our Inside linebacker. With these athletic and young group of guys i would not be supprised if our rush and pass defense improve dramatically.

No major moves in 08 yet ? and positions needed

The Denver Broncos have been know for the free agent signinng period and how agressive we can get during that time. This year nothing has happened yet, even though it is still early the Broncos need more help than alot of teams. At Defensive line, Offensive line, Safety posistion, linebacker, wide reciever, and a good returner for an awfull special teams last year minus the punt return for touchdown. For all those problems we simply can not aquire all of them in the draft. We need to start gettting aggresive in free agency or dont get any players at all. We are looking at two players right now though they are in Denver trying to get a deal done. But the only problem is one is a equally old and slow safety like nick fergueson became this year, Sammy Knight is his name. He played for the Jacksonville Jaguars, and he is now visiting Dove Valley. The only problem he is 32; we have not had two safeties under 30 for a while. Picking one up in a draft is a need because with John Lynch returning he can be a mentor to the safety drafted. For example if we are interested in Kenny Phillips and we aquire him in the first or second round John can mentor him. The other player we are looking at is backup reciever Keary Colbert and we just signed him, never heard of him right. We need a reciever to compliment Brandon Marshall, that would be speed, not a backup reciever who we can get for cheap. If the Denver Broncos want to compete next year we have to get younger and better players and not just pick up whatever is cheap and old, because it is cleary not working. As a Denver Broncos fan and a blogger i want to see the Broncos do bigger and better things next year, and it starts in free agency. Denver has a tendency to pick up no name players people who are not know well, I do not know why the reason is but it could be because we are saving up our money for the draft. Speaking of th edraft Denver has not been so popular with drafting talent. Denver last years was good in the draft but previous years when looking for offense we stumbled and none of them are with us now, the only offensive skilled franchise player i can say we have from the last 5 drafts is Brandon Marshall, Tony Scheffler, Selvin Young off the top of my head. We need to improve on how we draft.

Kenny Phillips or someone else in Denver?

The big question for me and alot of Denver Fans out there is our we going to get a safety, DT, or DE in the first round i personally would like to see kenny phillips taken in the first round by Denver for a couple reasons. He is fast, smart, physical, and he plays the pass, and run better than anybody in college right now. Safeties are often taken for granted, we have always had one very good safety in our lineup, wheter it be Steve Atwater from the 98 super bowl champion Broncos or recently Jonh Lynch but we have not really had two big factors at safety in our recent years and a good example of how much Denver is lacking at safety, is we played our nickle corner Dominique Foxworth at SS, and FS this year. So we need some Depth at Safety and with the addition of Kenny Phillips, we would be one of the better teams at safety. Also Hamza Abdullah is pretty decent at safety, but thier is just one problem he lunges at people instead of tackling them, that may work for John Lynch alot but not for an inexperienced Safety. Even though he has problems tackling though he did take the starting postition away from Nick Fergueson and he is kind of a hard-hitting safety.
