MLS Week In Review Powered By SoccerNation

This week was another exciting one as there were many close games and some winnings streaks kept going and some ended suprisingly, so let's get going.

Yesterday there were a lot of great games on the schedule. The one I got on my Canadian TV package(the only team you get in Canada) was the TFC-D.C. United remeatch ending the home and home. Toronto won the first game 1-0 on Danny Dichio's goal on Wedsenday, and Danny Dichio scored two more in the first half to give TFC a 2-1 first half lead. then Jamie Moreno scored in the 70th minute on a PK and Emilo potted a goal two minutes later to end TFC's impressive unbeaten streak.

NCAA Lacrosse Update:Syracuse Wins in Double OT/Upset City

I am reproting this in the break between the Virginia-Syracuse game that just ended and the Johns Hopkins-Duke rematch in the second game of the semifinal double header on ESPN.

Syracuse has just won one of the greatest college lacrosse games of all time.

Virginia held a commanding 9-5 lead going into the third quarter and it looked as if Syracuse was going home, then at the end of a low-scoring quarter, Matt Aboot scored to make it a 3 goal deficit.

MLS Week In Review

There was a decent slate of games in the MLS this week with the season heating up and the pretenders seperating from the contenders it should be an interesting couple of weeks.

Toronto FC kept their unbeaten streak alive on thier notoriously loud and windy home turf, BMO Field. They now have an unbeaten streak of five games stretchin from their third game of the season. They had many chances, but couldn't convert and the game ended in a nil-nil draw.

Chase's Notorious NBA Blog Vol 8 BREAKING NEWS

I'll start off with the results of the two games that went on today.

The Pistons extended their lead to 3 games to 1 today, beating the Magic 90-89 in an exciting game. Detroit came back in the second half and Keyon Doolings technical foul was probobly the vantage point in the game. The series goes back to Detroit for game 5 on Monday.

The Cavs blew out the Celts today in Cleveland. The Celtics have yet to win a road game in the playoffs, which is a shock to me because they had the best road record in the NBA. This gives me doubts going into the last two rounds of the playoffs I doubt they will beat Detroit if they advance because of their lack of road prowess in the postseason. Great teams win on the road and the Celts can not do that right now. Look for the Cavs to take the Celts to 7 and if the Celts win, look for an early exit against Orlando.

David Beckham shows up

Beckham celebrates after putting the ball in the back of the net

It finally happened! David Beckham has finally produced for the LA Galaxy in a game that will silence the critics for at least a few days.

Beckham scored twice, one off his legendary free kicks, and another of a long range effort from outside the penalty area to secure a 2-2 draw for the Galaxy against Real Salt Lake.

In front of a record setting crowd in Utah, Beckham shot two lasers into the back of the net and singlehandedly kept the Galaxy in the game.
