2008: Year In Preview

As, 2007 is drawing to an end, and since so many people are reviewing the year. I think I might take a peek into my crystal ball and see what will happen in the sports world next year.

NFL:

• The Pats will win the Super Bowl.

• Dolphins trade 1st pick in draft to the Chiefs for their 1st and 2nd round pick where KC will select Jake Long.

• Atlanta drafts Matt Ryan (who will later prove to be a flop) and they'll go 1-15.

Sad But True: The Death of Redskins S Sean Taylor

When you got up, got your coffee or whatever caffienated drink you drink, and turned on the TV, you heard about the death of Redskins S Sean Taylor. When the news first broke, everyone was stunned. It seemed like he'd make it the previous night, but no. He didn't. This is a tragedy and the NFL should not force the Skins to play against the Bills Sunday. Knowing how classy the Bills are, this is a possibility. To be honest, the NFL shouldn't play this week. Everyone who knew, or didn't know him had respect for him. He was on his way to a career year (42 tkls. 5 int. 1 forced fumble), definite Pro Bowler, and quite possibly a Hall of Fame career. He was just starting to turn his life around when this tragedy happened. He had a daughter born 18 months ago and he took her to the practice facilities often.

Week 9

Last week I did great. 10-3. My season mark is 72-44, a 62 winning %.

San Francisco at Atlanta: Naptime.

Cincinnati at Buffalo: Make or break game for Cincy. They win.

My season record is 62-41, with a winning pct. of 60. Now to this week's picks, with a slight twist.

Indianapolis at Carolina: If I was a betting man, and I'm not (I'm 14), I would bet over for this game.

Detroit at Chicago:  Stereotypical Bears game, but this years edition.
