Phillies In The Hunt Again

Gotta be completely honest here, I have been an in the closet Phillies fan ever since that faithful night of Joe Carters grand slam blast in the world series of 1993. My head bobbing up and down as he ran the bases, and I never fully recovered after that devasting loss. I was a young kid then, now as a young man I'm proud to come out of the closet and be a Phillies fan again. Was tired of getting harassed by friends calling them the sillies, and hiding at the bar so nobody could make fun of me during baseball season.

Another Heartbreaker, Future Bright

As the flyers season came to a grinding hault at Mellon Arena yesterday afternoon I was at a loss for words. Disappointed would be a good one I think heartbreak is even better. As magical as this playoff run was, it was not the way to go out. To listen to the crowd chant at the boys, I really did feel bad for them. I guess when you run out of gas this is the result. After watching the demoralizing loss yesterday, the flyers are in need of some help. Fowards were non-exsistent, except jeff carter scott hartnell and  Thoresen showed a lot of heart. Biron had no chance on a few shots, but all in all Biron looked absoultely terrible. To win big playoff games you need you're goal tender to make key saves, and that just didn't happen yesterday.

Down More Than 2-0 In Confernce Battle

As the final moments ticked away after the empty net goal scored I felt a letdown in myself. You could tell by the expression in Danny Briere's face, and the rest of the flyers. A let down unlike any of the previous series they have seen. This loss struck a cord with me and the players. After lossing Kimmo I thought the Flyers would step up and respond. Then Braydon Colborn no doubt already know, got caught up high in the face with a slap shot that knocked him out the rest of the game. Flyers battled the entire game, very hard fought and scrapped for every puck, and every goal and still came up short. Nothing like a feeling when battling and going as hard as you can, and come up short not only is a physical defeat, but a defeat in the heart.

The Stage Is Set For Epic Showdown

Welcome Flyers fans to the Eastern Conference Finals. Only 2 teams remain in the East and both hale from the same state. Pennslyvania will be well watched over the course of the next few days, as PA become's HockeyTown USA. 2 atlantic divison rival's will spare for 7 or few games, for the right to play for lord Stanley's Cup. This Epic battle between these 2 clubs has been firece, and also brillant playmaking. Both teams have spectular goaltending and goalscoring, but only 1 team didn't count on the other still being in the playoffs. Maybe they did?

Another 3-1 Series Lead

Another group of bad penalty's on the flyers lastnight, especially on Mike Richards early in the first period was absolutely ridiculous. The positive here is that, they didn't score on the powerplay or at any other time during the game. The Flyer's taking a command in the series find themselves in a familar place. It was not long ago that the flyers had, a 3-1 series lead over the Captials. Philadelphia will now travel back to Montreal to try to seal the deal.
