The Next great PG is........

Ok. Lets see if I can make sense in not saying Brandon Jennings is the next great PG. But, alas, he's not.(HA) The next great PG is John Wall, who like Jennings has never played a college game either. God, you think this posting is dumb by now and want to post some smart comment below. Go ahead, but read the rest also while your at it. I remember watching Derrick Roses' team beat Brandon Jennings' team Oah Hill Academy, airing on national television: ESPN. That was Roses' senior year and Jennings' junior year. Mr. Rose dominated every aspect of the game. Passing to open players, taking it to the hole, playing "lockdown" defense on Jennings' and forcing many turnovers with one of them ending in a highlight reel breakaway contested dunk. Posterizing play after play made him a legend in chicago. And now maybe he might go back to the Windy City. Anyways. This all have to do with the way Jennings' played that game and developed after that game. He was undersized to the more developed Rose. He would sometimes slouch after a negative play. He still has added some size but, even then being one of the best players in HS including seniors. He somehow has lost some hype but is still flashy at times not being more dominant than Rose his senior year. Now you have a player like John Wall. He has great court awareness, speed, timing, passing, defenensive skills. This guy is multi-dimensional!! He has that freaky speed and smooth shot combined with that intuitive awareness only few players have at that age. Jennings' will go to Arizona which is coincidently called PG U. He will have a good career their considering Jerryd Bayless' career at this PG oriented offense. John Wall i hope will go to IU. But, I think that is wishful thinking. Where ever this guy gos he will be a great player.

This week's "Shine-Box Award" winner:

He is the one of the most recognized sports owners in American Professional Sports. It's Jerry Jones. How 'bout those Cowboys? Well, this season will be intersting with many different dramas unfolding in the league. Particularly, in Big D. Adam "Pacman" Jones has joined the Cowboys, a story developed the last 30 days and counting, a team that didn't lack drama before he came. WIth all this reinstatement news and meetings has made Jerry Jones Wacko!!! After meeting with reporters this week he said he had Pacman under "24-Hour Surveillance"?!?! For preventive measures I assume. This guy is so desperate to win a SuperBowl. He will compromise their image for another ring and corny SI commercial. This guy hired "the cream of the crop" surveillance team to make sure the Pacman doesn't go drinking in strip clubs or shotting up the place. Whoaa..that's raw isn't it!! Just relaying the facts my folks. But, Mr. Jerry Jones could you please go get your **** shine-box and start shining!!!!!

This Weeks "Shine-Box Award" winner:

This award will be given to the individual who shows being an idiot will win you something.

This weeks winner hails from Dayton, OH and will probably end up in Canton, OH. He's the greatest pitcher since Nolan Ryan to pitch in the majors and sports one of the coolest nicknames in the world. Here we go ladies and gentlemen, have a warm round of applause for ROGER CLEMENS.

The Rocket, has rocketed instantly into the "Shine-Box Hall of Fame" on the first ballot. Why would Andy Pettite not stand-up for you? Why is your testimony so full of inconsistencies? Why do I not believe you? Now, with your adultress ways being exposed, his un-credibility is of "Rock Star" status. The most respected, talented, dominating, intimidating, pitcher in the MLB has more skeletons in his closet than Pete Rose. I feel this weeks winner was unanimous.

NFL Draft: The Chiefs storm the castle. Go for the jugular.

The biggest winner of the 2008 NFL Draft was the Kansas City Chiefs getting Dorsey at the 5th pick. If you would have told Mel Kiper Jr., Glenn Dorsey is going to KC at the 5th pick he would have laughed. Now KC has the last laugh. Having Dorsey as the top prospect in the draft was questionable because, of his durablity issues. However, I think it's a great pick, Chief Nation will love this guy, he will be a hit; I always thought they lacked star power. Additionally, on the 15th pick, they drafted UVA G Branden Albert. Many scouts had the chiefs picking Albert at 5th. I wonder what the feeling in the war-room was like after the first day. Assuming they broke out the Crystal after the 5th pick is wrong. These gentlemen were in there all day looking at combine results, talking on the phone, giving each other high-fives, I love it!! But, wait, it's not over yet. They then select VT CB Brandon Flowers, who's shown flashes of being a lock-down CB. I don't have to tell you how I feel about their picks.

B.J. Mullens New Rivals 2008 #1 Recruit??!!?

I've watched some footage of B.J. Mullens. It's clear he can dunk. It's clear he can block shots. Comparing him to Dirk Nowitzki (hopefully, he doesn't play defense like him errr....or play defense at all) only goes as far as being an "athletic big-man". His mixtapes never show him going outside of the box to shoot or even attempt a jump shot (maybe a jump hook) let alone a 3pt. shot. He can jump, not alot of big-men can. What's more impressive is seeing Arizona recruit Brandon Jennings (ESPN has him @ #1 and Mullens @ #8). This youngman puts on a clinic everytime he steps onto the court(it's not just a jamfest). He has superior dribbling skills and quickness. When you play him close he blows by you, when you get tired of that and give him some slack, you just can't win, he pops a 3 pt. shot. Similiar to Mullens he can do what he wants at will. When I say that I don't mean by just dunking, this gentleman is a "Human Highlight FIlm". But, I understand these rankings are determined by performance and scouting gurus. Putting down their opinions are not what I'm about but, since their is no consensus #1 among all these HS players: which makes me want to be a recruiting guru.
