Miami Dolphins 2008 Outlook

This season will be a little brighter for the 305, but not by much. I like what the Dolphins have done with Free Agency and in the Draft. Bringing in Parcells to be Vice President of Player Personnel was a good start. Do I like him as a Coach? Not really, but building a team from scratch? He is the Right man. Then to bring in guys like GM Jeff Ireland and HC Tony Sparano means that they will bring an attitude and determination to bring a bad team to respectability. First off, Parcells wanted to shore up the offensive line. He brought in:

Cowboys Draft.......Okay, but should have been way better

I will start off with what I liked about the Cowboys draft then go down. I liked the No. 25 selection of CB Mike Jenkins. He has good size at CB and is very fast. He is a good PR/KR which also translates well to when he intercepts the ball, he goes into punt return mode. A physical playmaker who I feel whill be much like CB Asante Samuel.

The other pick I like is 4th round RB Tashard Choice. This guy is almost the same as Marion Barber just a little more burst. He can do everything. He is just a little faster top end than Marion, but both of them are just great players. So if MBIII goes down, I have all the faith in the world that Choice can get it done. By having such an explosive offense, Choice will get better running lanes.

Why does Every Cowboys fan want Felix Jones?

I keep hearing that the Cowboys need to take Felix Jones at No. 22. That is sooo much horse crap! We don't need a first round RB to compliment Marion Barber. The Cowboys can select a great value pick in the 2nd and 3rd rounds. Felix Jones only ran a 4.47 and he will not be running a Gimmic Offense in the NFL. Can he line up in the I Formation and take it in between the tackles? No. Can he catch very well out of the backfield? No. Can he block well enough to take over on 3rd downs? No. What's funny is, Felix Jones will most likely be on the board when the Cowboys pick at 61. If not there might be Jamaal Charles, Ray Rice, Kevin Smith, Tashard Choice, and Matt Forte. What about RB Steve Slaton in the 4-6 round range as well.

Drew Kelson- A Guy that no one talks about

Any Longhorns fan will tell you that Drew Kelson has made some HUGE plays for the horns. This season he just didn't get on the field and had ankle problems. At the Texas Pro Day he was 6-0 216 4.45 40 Time 41.5 Vertical. When you watch the games against USC and OSU this kid was everywhere. His only problem was SS Michael Huff, FS Marcus Griffin....so they put him at OLB and then he just got benched for his senior season.

Whatever team this guy goes to is going to get one heck of a player. He is going to be a starter somewhere down the road. Probably pretty soon.

New NFL Mock Draft 2008

1. Miami- LT Jake Long Michigan- I still feel at this spot that Miami should take the Glamour position of the offensive line. You can justify paying a LT big money. There really is no reason to take anyone else. People can make the arguement for DE/OLB Chris Long, but I think he is the most overrated player of the top 10 picks. Plus, I can't see Parcells paying a 3-4 OLB 30 Million Guaranteed. It just doesn't make sense to me. Sedrick Ellis or Glenn Dorsey don't fit the 3-4 NT scheme. They would be very similar to the Jets DT Robertson. The only other option is to move back a little and pick either Long's or Vernon Gholston. But it is going to be hard to find a suitor. Jake Long would fortify the left side and move LT Vernon Carey back to RT. It would strengthen two positions. NFL Comparison: LT Matt Light, Patriots
