Who DESERVES to be in the all star game!

Let me go on record to say that I have begun to hate the MLB all star weekend, from Chris Bermann's stupid home run calls, to the length of time it takes to go through the home run derby, and most of all the fact that it matters for home field advantage in the World Series. I am WELL AWARE that the MLB All Star game is a popularity contest more than anything  Which leads me to my point.  If the All Star game didn't matter I wouldn't care that the Red Sox and Yankee's are almost starting the entire AL team, but it DOES and there why I have a beef with this whole system. I'm going to focus my argument in the AL as it better serves my case, although the Cubs are getting dangerously close to having too many players on the team because of the jersey they wear and not what they are doing on the field.  Here are the following players triple crown numbers and their fan votes.  So MLB fans, do whats right and go to MLB.com and vote for the players that deserve to go not the ones that are wearing a specific jersey.

Which Fan Base is more Obnoxious?

So as a Chicago fan supporting the Southsides Baseball Team, I'm constantly having to listen to the fans of "Boys town" (AKA Cubs) talk about their club.  Let me first say that the cubs are a really good team and have a chance to do something that hasn't been done on the Northside in a long time.  But I wanted the help of fan nation to tell me which team is MORE Obnoxious. Cubs or Red Sox?  Both franchises have the advantage of being back by Huge media outlets; Chicago Trbiune and ESPN (now I know that ESPN doesn't own the Red Sox but if you've watched the Eastern Seaboard Programing Network you know what I'm talking about)? Both play in Old filthy ballparks that should be torn down. AND both teams are know mostly(with the exception of recent sucess) for Losing!

Red Sox & Yankee's bad for baseball!

  Boston Red Sox and New York Yankee's are bad for baseball.  That's a bold statement now let me back it up.  First and foremost competitive balance.  Why is the NFL so popular?  Balance; with that being said, let me remove the tarnished Patriots from this equation.  Their dynasty is based on lying and cheating, not to mention they are with out a doubt the most boring dynasty in football history, but are indeed a dynasty. 

Moving on, the Red Sox and Yankee's have been treating the rest of the MLB like a farm system for a number of years.  The Yankee have been doing this for far longer then the Red Sox but both are guilty of this recently.  The fact this these two franchises routinely price players out of every other franchise is criminal.  Bud Selig has done nothing but stand by and allow for this to happen.  If MLB actually had a salary cap you would instantly see these two teams immediately fall of their perch of 1 & 2 in their division.  I'm not saying that the D-Rays are going to win the division but it's going to make things a lot more competitive.  The fact that the Yankee's and Red Sox have 1 or 2 players that equal the D-Rays or Royals or Pirates is just wrong.

Proposed Offseason Game Plan

In most cities across the country most MLB fans are gearing up for the last month of the season and teams are making their playoff push. 

However on the South Side things haven't exactly turned out as planned and the Sox are in a heated battle for last place with the Kansas City Royals.  At the start of the season I would have though this was impossible but that's exactly were they are at.   I knew this was going to be about a .500 team and I was WAY off.  So on the South Side we ask what's next???
