Buckeye Hate

I'll admit the title is a bit misleading.  No, I won't use this blog to bash the Buckeyes.  Instead this is an extremely late response to the comments made by Carson Palmer.  You know the ones where he essentially insulted the Buckeyes and there fans.

I'm happy for Carson that he's proud to have graduated from Southern Cal.  But, honestly how could you not know that there would be a few Ohio State fans in the state of Ohio.  Carson you have to understand that Ohio State football is a huge deal in Ohio.  What you did is like going to the zoo and complaing that there are monkeys in the monkey cage.  I'm not comparing Ohio State fans to monkeys..I was just making an example.

A Year

Today I was looking at my profile and I realized that I've been here on FanNation for a year..who knew?  Anyways lots of people like to write a blog about their year on this site.  I decided, as you can tell, I'll be no different.  It's been a relatively good year.  I've met some pretty cool people here on this site.  I've had some decent conversations with people here.  One of the first people I really got a chance to talk to was Krobe..he was very helpful.  But, here are some other people who I've met here who have been pretty cool...

Baseball in Florida: No One Cares

The state of Florida should be in comlete chaos right now.  Why you ask?  Well because both the Florida Marlins and Tampa Bay Rays are playing excellent.  So fans should be coming in record numbers to both ballparks right?  Not so much.

Marlins fans should be used to this by now.  They've used the exact same formula.  They have some good players and once it gets about time that they should get a big contract they're either traded or sign with another team in free agency.  The Marlins should have more fans than what they do.  They've won two World Series.   I guess I'm just not getting why people don't show up...the Marlins are what every small market team aspires to be.  Hanley Ramirez is one of the better young players in the entire league.  The Marlins just always find ways to win and people never show up to their games.  I'll admit the Marlins haven't been good in a while...but, come on people this is what they always do.

Phase One Of The Rebuilding Process

Its just been reported that the Milwaukee Bucks traded both Yi Jianlian and Bobby Simmons to the New Jersey Nets for Richard Jefferson.  I like the deal a lot.  But, this really makes the Bucks draft that much more intriguing.

I like this trade because Yi never wanted to be in Milwaukee...he made that known as soon as he was drafted a year ago.  As for Bobby Simmons..he never lived up to his contract.  So getting rid of both of these guys is a good move.  As for getting Richard Jefferson...I think it's smart.  Were getting a veteran guy to help the rebuilding process.

Straight To Europe

Arizona recruit Brandon Jennings has a big decision on his hands.  What is that decision you ask?  Well, he's in the process of deciding whether or not he should forgoe college and start playing professionally in Europe.  I read this story on ESPN.com and Jennings wants to go to Arizona.  But, he does face some hurtles with his college entrance exams...this will be his third time taking them..and he won't find out his results for a little while.  So, he and his mom have hired an attorney and are going to explore the options of playing in Europe.  The University of Arizona coaches are aware of his idea..and Jennings is expected to start summer school at Arizona soon.
