This is a terrific young team on the rise.
Portland won their 6th game in a row tonight,yet not one photo or cover story on any
sports page..
I just don't get it ..
No one cares about Portland, they keep showing the same old stuff over and over..
The other night on TNT that fat b a s t a r d Charles Barkley and Ernie didn't have even current
news on Portland.
I don't know..I would say the youngest team in the NBA with their best scorer on the bench
This is the moniker of a guy who wrote some of the most hateful racial stuff I have ever read
and it's on a website owned by Sports Illustrated..

Not only am I livid about what he says..
but that nothing is done about defaming probably the most decent guy that had been drafted in years.
I am a middle aged white woman and I will tell you I am furious tonight after reading that post.

Frankly I had never heard of it before. I saw the link from the Oregonian.
I am appaled that Sports Illustrated would even allow such garbage.
There is a contest to say funny things about Greg Oden's injury.
I don't know what is more appaling..the creap from Sports Illustrated or the posters
that wrote in. It's called "And The Winner Is"
The guy's name is Pete McEntegart that heads up the article.
It's an article asking people to write in jokes about Greg's injury.
Hey Pete,maybe you could enclose some info about your dad's broken hip..

OH,and for more yuks fans wrote jokes about Vick's dogs..
Yeah,when I get my morning coffee and sit down and read at this site I really
don't get much of a laugh from reading about the Portland Trailblazer's Greg Oden
and seeing all the jokes about his injury. Let me tell you when you see your own relative laying on a
stretcher in the hospital,it's pretty chilling.There is nobody making jokes then. I have spent over 31 years
working with people who have serious life threatening,career ending injuries.
For a magazine that makes it's money off these athlete's,I find it pretty low.
But the people that wrote in leave me cold and it just is unbelievable that there are so
many uncaring people.
wow.
Well,it has sunk in about Greg.
I really feel like we will STILL have a very fun season. One must remember something.
We were so happy with this team long before we had even a sniff about the draft.
I think I even said in a blog earlier,Greg was the cherry on the cake..
We still have the cake ! We still have a young team that we adore.
I heard tonight that Greg's injury is not as bad as Zach's..
That really gave me a lift.
Of course those are two very different bodies and sizes..but it still made me feel better.
We never have had Greg in a game,but we really fell in love with him and his wondeful goofy personality. We are there with him thru the year whether he plays or not..
To me he is a keeper .
Ok,that is my heart taking.
I hope for his sake he can be the player he was in practice...damn everbody just gets out of the way when he is
going for the ball ...he is a thing of beauty on the court.. and the neat thing about it is..he doesn't bowl people
over..he is just big like a car coming up the lane. Not like a certain other big guy,who played like he was a bowling ball knocking down pins..

Nuff said,this guy is clutch like we haven't seen going clear back to Terry Porter,in fact maybe better and that was his rookie year !! Terry was a
