How to Revitalize the Home Run Derby

It has already been noted that many All Star participants elected out of the Home Run Derby.  It is also true that many Home Run leaders and stars did not participate becasue they were not elected to the All Star Team.  The event also has another blip this year when the individual with the most home runs overall, and the one who said a record with 28 shots in the first round, also did not win.  Well MLB, here are some suggestions to cure all of these little issues once and for all.

10 Reasons not to participate in the Home Run Derby

All Star Home Run Derby - a Yankee Embarassment

This year's All Star game is being played in the "House that Ruth Built"  - historical Yankee Stadium in the Bronx.  It is the last time any All Star game will be played here, as Yankee Stadium is scheduled for demolition right after the season end. The Home Run Derby in this year's All Star game could have generated some real excitement and entertainment for Major League baseball fans in general, and NY fans in particular. The AL All Stars have on their roster a Yankee that is arguably the one active player capable of chasing down Barry Bond's all time home run record. A-Rod is at home for the All Star Game, and the Home Run Derby at Yankee Stadium is a perfect opportunity for A Rod to showcase his home run hitting talents, and give MLB fans a taste of what might come over the next few years. But that is not going to happen. No, the self-centered one, has chosen to sit out the Home Run Derby in his home park.  It is a sad commentary for baseball  that the last All Star game ever to be played at Yankee stadium will be lacking ANY Yankee participant in the Derby, and in particular, will be missing the Yankee slugger that is purportedly chasing the MLB HR record. A-Rod has zero respect for his team; for the Yankee history; for the House that Ruth built, for MLB, or for the fans. All he cares about is boinking Madonna and getting paid if he passes Bond's  home run record. This is both disheartening and PATHETIC. The once proud Yankee dynasty will die with the fall of Yankee Stadium at the end of this year. It is a sad day for Major League Baseball and for the Yankees and their fans.

Moderators, please leave these naked pictures up; it is ART

Mr Moderator, please leave these naked pictures of teens on the beach in Brazil as they represent art and are not pornographic.  Just images of beautiful young teens enjoying the sun and waves in Rio.

Now, as you are scratching your head and asking what you missed, this has been a test; just a test of the emergency decency system of Fannation.   Quickly leave this site and tell nobody you came here seeking teen pics.

The Imus Story Part II --The real culprits in this are black

Imus tries to explain controversial comment

The radio host Don Imus, fired by CBS last year for referring to the Rutgers women's basketball team as "nappy-headed hos," waded into racially treacherous waters again on his new radio program Monday morning, in a brief exchange about a suspended professional football player, Adam Jones. When told by the program's sportscaster, Warner Wolf, that Mr. Jones no longer wished to be called by his nickname, Pacman, so that people might forget his record of multiple arrests, Mr. Imus asked, "What color is he?" "He's African-American," Mr. Wolf responded. "Well, there you go,?" Mr. Imus said. "Now we know." Asked in an e-mail message what he had intended by his remark, Mr. Imus wrote, "I meant he was being picked on because he's black." He added that the veteran black comedian and activist Dick Gregory would be a guest on his show on Tuesday, to discuss the death of George Carlin. "We'll see what he thinks," Mr. Imus wrote. "I mean ... come on!"
