I think the switch to 3-4 was a good idea, because if you look at the dominate defenses in the game today, they almost all have 3-4 defenses. Steelers, Ravens, Patriots. It's about time that the 3-4 defense comes to the NFC

Aaron did really well, I thought the O-line did a pretty solid job not allowing a sack and only 1 qb hit, i thought the defense could use some work but overall it was a pretty good performance and I was happy they won. Watch out, here comes the bandwagon fans! We should be able to run all over Detroit next week hopefully

Aaron looked good..but the o-line was pitiful. I thought the defense looked pretty solid. But, I'm not sure if that was our defense being good or Tarvaris Jackson just straight up being not good. But, back to Aaron he needed to have a game like that last night...a game that sort of gets the people who were in between to be on his side..so I think he's going to have a lot more support now. I thought Aaron looked great though.

Nice effort by Rodgers last night. He did a good job of taking some of the "shine" off Favre. All he needs to do is stay healthy, and the rest will take care of itself. LOL, pretty funny (or not) that Brady goes down injured before Rodgers. Who would have thought that was going to happen.

A great game last night! Had me worried with all the penalties by the offense in the first 2 possessions, but THANK YOU Blackmon! I'd say Rodgers did OK for a nerve filled first start. Not great numbers, but who needs great numbers when Grant's running pretty well. That one deep ball was thrown perfectly. As long as they continue to improve each week, I like the Packers' chances to take this division!

I don't think A-Rod has to out perform Brett..all Aaron has to do is just enough for us to win games..don't try to outshine Brett that's where the guy replacing THE guy gets himself in trouble. I'm not going to take a whole lot out of how the Bears played..remember this was Peyton's first game action in a while..so there was rust so that naturally makes the Bears defense look somewhat better. Also, who here honestly believes in the Colts defense? Yeah they've looked good for a while but I still have no faith in the Colts defense. Kyle Orton looked pretty good..let's see if the Bears o-line can hold up for an entire season though.

Things could (should) have been handled better on both parts. Brett or the management aren't scotch free about how things happened but put all that aside there is still football to be played and that's what I am looking forward to along with the rest of our dedicated fans! Glad to see you're such a dedicated Packer backer, GBpack. THAT'S exactly why I'm a Packer fan. Best fans in the NFL. I live 15 minutes from Aaron Rodgers' home town. He's quite popular here, and I hope that he does real well. I will state, though, that the recent controversy in Green Bay has left a bad taste in my mouth with how it was handled by Favre and the team management. I'm an old time fan, with the belief that the team should maintain the non-franchise mentality that has always held it apart from any other organization in the NFL. I hope that Packers do not start the same trend that the 49er did by trading off their icons because of age. There was a lot more to this controversy than we'll ever know, but the Packers have great fans and I don't want to see them become polarized by bad management decisions. Well, 'nuff said, I'll step off of my soap box now, and welcome to PackerNation!

nitschke, you dont need to blindly drink the kool-aid just take a look at the overall statistics from last year. Yeah brett threw for 4000 plus yards but do you know that the actual yardage his passes traveled were a little over 2000 and the recievers had a little over 2000 YAC! I mean thats impressive and will bolster anyone's stats as long as they get them the ball. Trust me I am not blinded by the light but i am optimistic that we have enough talent to go along ways as long as the QB play is average!

After a debilitating loss to the Bears, the Packers do not deserve to go to the playoff's. They should give up there seat to a more deserving team. One thing the Packers have to learn is that when Brett starts off having a bad day, he will have a horrible day. They need to remove him right away, otherwise he trys to hard to make things happen and makes it worse. That is all part of good coaching and it needs to be empahized to Mr. McCarthy!!

It seems to me that every time there's a deep play against the Pack, it's Harris that's trying to run the guy down. I was at the Bills/Packers game last year, they had one deep play to Lee Evans... guess who got beat... Al Harris! You can vote what you want, don't get me wrong, but why are so many people voting for KGB in the DE poll? Willie Davis is a hall of famer and KGB isn't THAT good. He's a good pass rusher but he's not a good all around end.

This is a tough poll. Basically Freeman or Lofton. Freeman was Favre's favorite target and Lofton is a Hall of Famer...so tough. I'm predicting Freeman wins because of the younger generation voting.
