sorry about inactivity. we can do a tourny if we want or something.
i think all the ppl in this group should swtich to soccernation as it is actually active, very active
If people don't like soccer then how do they find there way here, to a group called SOCCER PEOPLE??? Key word SOCCER!!!! Wow, if you don't care about soccer don't find your way here to a group of people who love soccer, your just going out of your way to annoy people. Assamerg, we forgive you. And Little Evil (Gunner) I totally agree, but i do like watching football sometimes.
i would like to make a formal apology to you all. It was really not cool and below the belt of me to attack you guys on your turf. way out of line. I'm sorry.
jesus christ, the trolls come to specifically join a soccer group just so they can bash it? Someone is a little scared that the world's most popular sport (and most popular youth sport in the US) is starting to catch on and you'll have a knowledge of soccer that is similar to the knowledge your girlfriends have of NFL huh? Don't worry, we'll teach you.
great website - goalvideoz.com
Wow. Do American Football fans really think that they have the only sport worth liking in the world? It would seem so. I hate watching a Pigskin game. Too many commercials and there's no flow to the game. I like being able to sit down for a full 45 min a half and watch a game develop and scoring chances present themselves. It truly is a thinking man's/woman's sport. I'd much rather watch the WUSA over any NFL, NHL, MLB, or NBA game. It's a beautiful game that requires skill and technique rather than just speed and brute force.
samberghotrod, get FSC! it's that simple
No one is saying that you have to leave please stay and maybe you might find some aspects of Soccer interesting. I do not want anyone to not feel welcome just dont want the bashing comments to a sport that we love. Thanks
Samberg,
You can say what you want but the truth is world wide soccer (the real Futbol that is actually played with your feet) is way more popular!! Period! End of discussion! Beckham is going to get 250Million for playing for 5 years no athelete in any other sport makes that. The problem that WE soccer fans have with people like you is that WE don't go on your groups and bash Football all the time like we constantly get from YOU fans. If that is your opinion and you want to debate it do it in a Throw Down just don't come on our group and do it
correction. David beckham drew 66237 fans, not 6632. Although, i wouldnt be surprised if this happened in the future.
well, keeper. I would watch a soccer game if I could just find a station that actually shows soccer games. I don't have cable but for some odd reason I can still find football, baseball, basketball, golf, and occasional hockey games on TV. Soccers on ABC maybe three times in the entire season. That may not be true, but these facts are. from 1996-2000, the average MLS playoff attendance was 45494. In 2002, they had this flukey average of 61316. Since then, it's been a less than stellar 24104. Super Bowl XL had an attendance of 68,206 to go along with its 141 million viewers. The Los Angelos Galaxy, from what I gather to be the best team in the MLS, had an average home attendance of 24437 last year. the Arizona Cardinals, arguably the worst placed football in the NFL, had an average home attendance of 50003. If you havent choked on those facts yet, here's some more. the average MLS player makes $90000. the average NFL player makes $1.3 million. In terms of american TV ratings, football and baseball crush soccer. Since its foundation in 1996, MLS has lost 350 million dollars. And how about soccer's savior David Beckham. yes, his first game drew 6623 people, obviously people around the Los Angelos area. Do you know how many people watched that game on TV? roughly 422000. That means the nfl preseason game between the eagles and the steelers (a game that doesnt even count) drew about 12 times the number to watch that game (about 5.2 million). yes, soccer is way more popular in other countries than football is (715 million watched the FIFA world cup as opposed to only about 200 million worldwide.) However, soccer is light years away from catching up to football. also, "Hotrod" is in reference to the movie with andy samberg. I don't shut up; I put up.
OK, excuse me for this, but here I go. I'm sick and tired of all of you American pigskin football junkie idiots. No matter what, new idiots always pop up and you can't ever beat them. Soccer isn't as big as football here, but it is getting close. And not only a few people care, a lot of people do care. You should actually watch a game, a full game and maybe you'd learn something about real football. But until you do, then Just Shut Up. Okay, "Hotrod". Get your facts straight before you start running your mouth off.
how does it feel to be the only people in America who care about this sport? Have you people ever looked at yourselves in the mirror and wondered "where did I go wrong?"
For the poll:

I had to go with Messi on this one. That kid is going to be crazy his is the youngest player on the list and would be the #1 superstar on any other team. I think he is going to come into his own this year and might even lead scoring for Barca
I would like to see shevchenko, Gerrard, Klose, and Omar Bravo on that list. I would love all of them.
I'd want Kaka on my team.
