Sure was a pretty sight seeing Ganz lead the team as he did against K-State. Sure felt like the NU that I remember. Callahan or not, I was pretty impressed with the play calling. I will say, I used to yell at Osborne from the stands to throw the damn ball. I was not a fan of the moron Pederson but I do think we have to think who do we want to run this team. Some talk was Turner Gill which I don't think is a wise move. Just because you can change the tires doesnt mean you can work on the engine. The only person I consider would be bringing Bo and company back. Guy is young and has a big heart for players. If anything, keep Bill and dump Coz to bring Bo back. It won't happen but I guess losing millions to get rid of one for something better would be worth it. Bo for Head Coach...
Hey...I've been following NU since 1970. You think these are bad years??? After the Titles in 70 & 71, the Seventies were very miserable. Than being so close in '82 & '83 hurt really bad. So, buck up!!! At least we are not rooting for Buffalo or Temple or some other sad Football program. Go Huskers!!!!!
I'v been a fan since 83' and these down years have been very sad. They should have never gotten Bill Callahan he is not head coach material and the huskers will never get back to the rightful place as the champions of the world as long as he is head coach.
On Stewart Mandel's Worst Coach's list Callahan's name is listed. It didnt make the Top 10 Worst, but the fact that it was listed says something. Huskers just need a win over Texas or SC and also not lose to schools we should win to (KU, Iowa St). Then peeps will get off his back!
I really wish I could get into Callahan's head and see what's going on in there. I've tried to support his game and style, but I just can't convince myself that his team will ever win a national championship. They'll probably get 9 or 10 wins again.
