"SPORTS TRIVIA"

In 1972, Carew led the American League in batting, hitting .318, and remarkably, without hitting a single home run for the only time in his career; Carew is to date the only player in the American League or in the modern era to win the batting title with no home runs hit in that year.

Don't let PackersLP have rights. He will take over your group and then remove you as a member. Here is examples of what he says in groups. See any patterns?

gocubsgoin'08 is the creator of the group and he is in our FanNation Hall of Fame. Should I ban him?

new york new york . no, we,re not singing frank sinatra song-- just answering the question. the two big apple teams finished the 2006 season with identical marks of 97-65, yet neither made it to the world series. the minnesota twins were next with 96-66 and the detroit tigers were 95-67 . twelve major league teams had a better record than the st. louis cardinals last season, but they won their division and got good pitching at the right time to win the world series

only four nba franchises have accumulated a quartet of nba championship or more . of courseyhe san antonio spurs entered that exclusive club last week when they sweep the cleveland cavaliers to win their fourth title. the next team on the list is the chicago bulls , who have captured six championships. then the gap widen . the minneapolis/los angeles laker are in second place all-time with 14 last-game-of-the-year victories. and then, of course the grandaddy of them all the boston celtics. the green and white taken the title 16 times, included 11 out of 13 between 1957 and 1969.

AS THE STORTY GOES, THE SAN ANTONIIO SPURS, CAN THANK HUGO FOR THEIR SUCCESS. IN 1989, HUGO BLEW THROUGH THE VIRGIN ISLANDS, DESTROYING A SWIMMING POOL WHERE YOUNG TIMMY DUNCAN PRACTICED THE 400-METER FREESTYLE. AT THE TIME, DUNCAN WAS ONE OF THE BEST US SWIMMERS IN HIS AGE GROUP (RESIDENTS OF THE VIRGIN ISLAND ARE US CITIZEN). BUT WHEN THE POOL WAS DESTROYED BY HUGO, DUNCAN DECIDED TO GIVE HOOPS A TRY , AND THINGS WORK OUT PRETTY WELL FOR HIM ON THE BASKETBALL COURT
