This is one of my favorite groups on FN. To me, To know where people are coming from musically really tends to shed a lot of light on how you think about sports (and life) and therefore makes this group totally relevant to the site.

Well, it was before they were famous and so it was done cheaply.
I'm not crazy about Bleach at all. Some good songs, but it's incredibly rough around the edges. You either like that album or you hate it.
All Nirvana is great, but their three albums all are a bit different.
Bleach has more of a hardcore punk sound.
Nevermind is pop based grunge.
In Utero is supposed to "sound bad"

My view is that grunge is not classic rock. Late late 80's hair metal (The Cult, FireHouse, etc.) that's not classic rock. Living Colour is though. Metallica is, too.
I've never seen anywhere or heard from anyone a definitive and set qualifications for something to be considered classic.
There's a classic rock station near me that treats it like this: if it was done at least a decade ago, we're playing it. The other station 'round here rarely plays stuff from the 90's, but pretty much must treat it the same way the other station does.
So... that's how I go about it as well.
For me, classic rock has to be the 70's or earlier.

I downloaded most of Bat Out Of Hell 3 the new one Loaf released last year. I expected it to be a train wreck with Steinman not producing it and all , but I've been pleasantly surprised. Some truly fun songs.
