The Nextel Cup regulars will welcome themselves back to the 2-mile D-shape that is Michigan International Speedway this weekend for the 3M Performance 400. Last year's winner, Matt Kenseth, looks to pick up only his second win of the 2007 campaign at a track that teammate Carl Edwards took the victory at in June.

1. Matt Kenseth - He's due, and Roush Racing just never has an off day at Michigan or California

2. Carl Edwards - Cousin Carl will be good, but he's already in next year's All-Star race -- so he's happy.

Stewart Prevails at Watkins Glen

Jeff Gordon was ready to take his 10th road course victory Sunday at Watkins Glen. It would have been the "road course king's" first win at the New York course since 2001 -- a remarkable stat considering his success on the left and right handers.

He was also looking to take a lead in the seeding points for the Chase for the Nextel Cup after Richmond, breaking a tie with teammate Jimmie Johnson.

Lap 89 in corner one changed all that.
