Ranking of the NCAAF Conferences

Ah yes, it is time for ncaa football again. The intence crowds, 48-45 point games, the hype of a 5 seed against a 6 seed, and whatever else makes college football awesome. I will take a look at the conferences and rank them best to worst.

1. SEC: With 2 teams in the top 3 of the coaches poll, I dont know how they arent #1. Five teams in the Top 15 and six in the top 20. Four coaches (Steve Spurrier, Phillip Fulmer, Nick Saban, Urban Meyer) who have won national championships, more than any other conference. The defending national champions reside in this league. Can there be any argument?

2007 NFL Rookie Preview

Every year, a new crop of rookies enter training camp. Some even make week 1 rosters, and unfortunately some get cut. Also, every year, everyone gets hyped up over their teams first or second or even third round draft picks. I'm not sure what if it's the allure of getting an ‘unknown' quantity or the fact that the actual NFL Draft is still relatively fresh in everyone's mind, but it seems like people get fired up when they see that once great NCAA player put on his NFL jersey.

2007 Preseason Awards

One week. That is it. One week until Opening Kickoff. It is crazy how it seemed like yesterday when Devin Hester returned that first kickoff for a touchdown. Of course, Rex Grossman screwed them all over but I am sure that they are used to it.

The NFL season officially begins with their kickoff extravaganzas in about a week from tomorrow, although I am looking forward to the beginning of seeing such fantastic NFL match-ups as Arizona at San Francisco (which is the second game of the Opening Weekend Monday Night Football doubleheader), I'm always slightly saddened as football kicks into full gear.
