This preview is a little short this time as it has been a busy week but here is my preview of the gameThis game may be the biggest game the Vols have had in a long time. With a win they have a great shot at playing in the Georgia Dome for the SEC championship. If they lose, then they hopes of playing for an SEC championship is just about done. Then you have Phillip Fulmer. This game will also decided Fulmer's future. I truly believe that if the Vols make it to the SEC championship game, Fulmer will be back. But if he loses this game (Their SEC championship hopes are probably gone), I feel…
This story comes from the Associated Press.KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- California's Justin Forsett, Alabama's Terry Grant, South Carolina's Cory Boyd and half of Florida's offensive lineup had heydays rushing against Tennessee this season. Arkansas' Darren McFadden and Felix Jones could be next. Consider Tennessee defensive coordinator John Chavis optimistic, though. "It's a big opportunity, there's no doubt about that. I may be saying something differently after the game, but we're excited about going out and seeing how we can match up," Chavis said…

Basketball is exploding here in the summer months. The Rocky Top League just started it's second season and Coach Pearl lands another recruit. It looks like we may win the SEC again!

So this group is supposed to remain active but there is no talk about the VOLS run at #1 for basketball. If they can get a win over Memphis tonight, they can ride in on top of the polls for the NCAAs. That is something to talk about!

The Vanderbilt-Tennessee football game, slated for Saturday, Nov. 17 in Knoxville, will be televised on a pay-per-view basis across the state of Tennessee, both universities jointly announced today.

Cable systems across the state of Tennessee are scheduled to carry the telecast from the VideoSeat pay-per-view service. Kickoff in Neyland Stadium is scheduled for 2 p.m., EST.

Tennessee leads the all-time series 68-27-5 and has won 23 of the last 24 meetings. But it was two years ago in Knoxville that the Commodores snapped a 22-game losing streak to the Vols with a 28-24 win in the closing seconds. Tennessee bounced back to claim a 39-10 decision last year in Nashville.

Televised league games for the Nov. 17 weekend are Kentucky at Georgia on Lincoln Financial (12:30 p.m. Eastern) and LSU at Mississippi on CBS (2:30 p.m. Central). There will be no SEC games on ESPN or ESPN2.

Fans may contact their local cable systems later this week to order the game and receive price information. The game is expected to also be made available as a pay-per-view event to Tennessee Dish Network subscribers and DirecTV subscribers. Channel numbers and ordering information for home dish owners will be forthcoming next week.

ESPN GamePlan is expected to offer the game to fans living outside the state of Tennessee via the ESPN GamePlan package. The game will be blacked out on ESPN GamePlan in the state of Tennessee and cannot be ordered as part of ESPN's package.

Three players for our Volunteer's basketball team have made the SEC preseason All-SEC team.

Chris Lofton is on the first team and JaJuan Smith and Tyler Smith was on the second team.

Sorry for not updating this group in a little while. I busted up my back falling down steps trying to not step on a new kitten my wife and I got and was not able to get on computer. Hope to keep it updated better in the future.

I am going to post my player of the game here for the Southern Miss/Tennessee game

Player Of The Game Offense: It was hard choice between Austin Rogers or Arian Foster but I will go with Austin Rogers. He had seven catches for 112 yards and a touchdown.

Player Of The Game Defense: Rico McCoy. He led the team in tackles and had a couple of great hits in the game.
