Once again, the Yankees make a big offseason signing for an even bigger amount of money. Unfortunately, Mark Teixiera signed an eight-year, $180 millon deal with none other than the New York Yankees. That give the Yankees the four highest paid players in the MLB. Besides those guys, the Yankees also gave C.C. Sabathia and A.J. Burnett very big deals.As a diehard Red Sox, I obviously wanted Teixiera to sign with...the Nationals. That's right, not the Red Sox.     The chair seems the same... the desk is the same... and the keyboard on which my fingers dance right now, slightly greasy from freshly-delivered pizza, is the same one from which I've banged out so many articles.   The 2008 Baltimore Orioles have a chance to break a record this season. No, it is not for the most games giving up 7 or more runs. It also isn't the highest team ERA. This record is positive. This is a record that the 1920 Yankees teams couldn't even do with Gehrig and Ruth. Not even when they had Maris, Mantle, and Berra could they do this.
