Who's the Biggest April Fool in Sports?

I know, I know, that you heard this before, but It is April first and i'm gonna tell you about my most notable"April Fools".  Number one is (Barry Bonds), is anyone surprised that no one team will touch him?  After all he is the face of Steroids and such a nice person too, right?  Number two, (Roger Clemens). Pretty self explanatory here, he lied to congress and tried to throw his suppossed best friend under the bus and even tried to discount his wife's testimony.  Number three, Commissioner (Bud Selig).  How could you lie to the American public about your "so-called" lack of knowledge regarding "YOUR" leauge and Steroids and on your "WATCH"?  Number four is (Pat Bowlen), You have to be living in your own little world not to see what is happenning to our beloved (Denver Broncos).  The coach firing the G.M.? Eight front office personnel fired before the draft for cost cutting business measures?  Four "Defensive Coordinators" in the last four years?  The number five spot is taken by my number one "April Fool", (Mike Shanahan)!  How could you continue to deny the fact that the Denver Broncos would be a whole lot better without you?  The Draft has been up until recently your biggest failure,(Maurice Clarett)?  Free Agency has not been your friend either,(Sam Adams) Anyone?  And how long before pulling out the "hook" on (Bob Slowik)?  Those are my top 5 April fools in sports, feel free to comment on any of them or add your own to the list.  Later Bloggies...

"One Dysfunctional NFL Team"

Which team in the NFL has a coach that can fire the G.M.?  Only one, The (Denver Broncos)!  (Mike Shanahan) became the only (NFL) coach to fire his General Manager,(Ted Sundquist).  Ted Sundquist was the GM in name only, because Mike Shanahan was above him with the title of Vice President of Football Operations.  Mike has the ultimate autority to hire and fire whomever he pleases at his will.  (Pat Bowlen) says he's involved in the football operations on a day to day basis, because he goes to work everyday and is only ten feet away from Mike's office.  Bowlen might as well be Ten Million Miles Away, because that's how involved he is.  Bowlen has never checked or balanced the "power hungry little dictator" as one infamous ex-Bronco called him.  The point of this blog is to illustrate the "Dysfunctional Mess" that Bowlen has gotten himself and the entire Bronco organization into.  You cannot fire Shanahan, because that will prove to the critics that you made a mistake by letting Shanahan have all the power that he craved for.  If you keep him and he keeps screwing up the upcoming drafts and free agency period, then your organization is basement bound for many years to come!  Goodnight fellow bloggies and see you later.

Is This Mike Shanahan's Swan Song?

Two years without a playoff appearance and a defense that gave up more points since anyone of us can remember is not a good sign for the ("Mastermind's") future here in (Denver).  Truth is (Broncos') owner (Pat Bowlen) wont make a coaching change until it affects his pocket book.  So, if us Bronco fans want to see a change for the better we'll have to boycott Bronco games until they start performing up to an "Elite" NFL level. Otherwise the new ('Mile High Stadium') or (Invesco Field) will not see anymore sellouts and TV broadcasts will be blacked out in the Denver metro area.  As a long time die hard Bronco Fan since the age of 10 years or younger I suggest that we take our "Entertainment Dollars" and spend them in wiser and more economic worthwhile endeavors, Such as "ShotGun Willies" ( A local Topless Club)at least our single dollar bills will give us a "Rise" and a good feeling "Downunder"...

There's lots of good coaches outthere, pro or college. The main thing is he's got to be a good fit. We also need a good football guru ala Ron Wolf.
Who could we get that is better than Mike Shanahan? Bill Cowher ain't coming to Denver. Before you run off a good coach, you better think about who there is to replace him.
Shanahan's future with the Broncos is in jeopardy, This Draft will determine wether he stays or he goes!
This 2008 NFL Draft is the most important draft of the Shanahan ERA, because it will decide if comes back next year...
I am a Denver native and I have been a Broncos fan since 1960. That's right, some 47 years. I have seen it all, heard it all and smelled it all. The Broncos have steadily tanked over the past 9 seasons to the point where the only answer is to replace the head coach. He needs a break, a hiatus a furlough a vacation where he can get back up to speed with today's NFL. His "peer" group have all taken a break, Cowher, Parcells, Gibbs, Marty, etc and profited from their increased wisdom. The teams they left behind are better off in many ways as well. Mike Shanahan is not the future of the Denver Broncos, he is the past.

Mike Shanahan is not the GM, but he is the President of Football Opertions with the ultimate power to make all personnel decisions.
He is a sham. He has done nothing since Elway and Davis in terms of postseason wins.

Offensive mastermind? If i hear 1 more announce say that Im going to puke. The offense left town with Kubiak.

Mike needs to coach in the NCAA. Trying to build an offense around skilled players? You think it would have been a sign when his offensive linemen started becoming eligible for medicare.
