 NY METS 51 & 44.

 For once the all star game ( which i will be attending ) has come at the wrong time for the Mets, 0.5 gb and a streak of  9 wins the Mets are on fire. There position at the moment is not exactly where i thought they would be after a poor(ish) start and with all the off field problems, but i hope this could be signs of things to come.

 The pitching is now starting to gel, but it is the form of the six leading batsmen in this run that is the really pleasing aspect, particully Beltran and Delgardo. With a captain on your team called David Wright what else can you expect. If they win the series against the Phillies and Cardinals in late july they may be contenders this season.

 N.Y METS  35 & 36.

 What's going on with this team and more importantly the management.

 No one could fail to notice what occured at the end of last season, but this season to sack Willie Randolph is just a complete joke not only why it was done, but the way it was done.

I think that Wilpon needs to take a long hard look at himself and how he promotes the team he owns. In my opinion he deserves the utmost contempt and should not be allowed to be near the MLB never mind owning a team, this guy has made the Mets a laughing stock.

 NY METS 24 & 26.

 What is happening to the Mets admitidly they are 5.5 behind, but it appears the league is slightly upside - down. Where have the Marlins come from you kind of expect the Braves and Phillies to be near the top but the Marlins.

Winning only three of the last ten is must be starting to worry the staff in flushing.Whilst they are still just outscoring there oppenents, the pitching is rather below par.

 It is also time the team moved on from the incident with Willie and got back to consintrating on what happens on the field.
