As a south sider by birth and upraising, I am an avid White Sox fan...And while this season has started out with ups and downs we are currently sitting 2.5 games above the Minney Twinkies...and 4.5 above the Indians, and this has me thinking...are we going to be a contender this season or just kind of hang around for a while and slide off....Its been a 27-22 start so far to the season...and for some reason its good enough for first place...the reason i begin to be skeptic of this is for the fact that our team is not working on all cylinders....granted we are winning, but not in the team…

OK, so I'm sitting here watching the White Sox on one of the few times they are televised on WGN this year. 7th inning, 2 out, man on and  Alexi Ramirez at the plate.Yeah, Alexi Ramirez. The cuban defector. He of the .156 batting average that NO other team pursued.Now, we all know that Ken "the hawk" Harrelson is as big a homer as they come, and we love him for it. Benny is the Bull's mascot and and probably the mascot with the longest criminal record in America.In the 90's, Benny the Bull was pulled over for speeding and when police searched his car they found marijuana. Benny the Bull was driving while high on pot. That Benny the Bull was fired. You are correct, of course, you are a Chicago sport fan. The most knowledgable fans on the planet!
The press down here get all wet and hot when the Cards win a pre-season game, start talking about playoffs. I was at the MNF game two seasons ago, Bears vs Cards, there were twice as many Bear fans as Card fans.
