Matt Weiters has been called up to the Bowie Baysox after batting .346, 14 HR's, and 38 RBI's in just 38 games. There is a chance he could be called up to the show at the end of this season or the beginning of this coming season. Jake Arrieta was also in the news. In the futures game at Yankee Stadium over the All-Star break, he pitched a shutout inning, striking out one, and allowing one hit.

As an Oriole fan im always looking to stay ahead of the game. By just looking at the Bowie Baysoxs roster I found two other players who us Oriole fans should know about in Bradley Bergesen nd Chris Tillman.First off Chris Tillman was named Seattles Minor League pitcher of the year last year and was one of the main parts of the Eric Bedard deal. At 6'5 Tillman is big yet small because he weighs only 195 pounds but stil has a killer fastball. This year Tillman is playing with Wieters but puting up amazing numbers with seven wins and an era just over 3, and should be getting called up to AAA…

The Fredrick Keys have sent three players to the Carolina League all star game. The players are Matt Wieters (14 HR, 38 RBI's, 77 Hits, .351), pitcher Jake Arrieta (5-2, 2.69 ERA, .151 average against), and outfielder Branden Tripp (34 RBI's, .254)Jake Arrieta's stats I showed you look very promising. A quick biography of him:Drafted fifth round out of TCU. He is in his first professional season. In his first start, he went four innings and struck out 9. Keep watch of him as he is 5-2 in high A in his rookie season.
