That's a great idea. I hadn't thought of that. I didn't have any interest in soccer until I lived in Germany for 2 years just before they hosted the world cup. I went to a couple games and realized how great it is/can be.

i always thought the best way to learn about soccer is to buy the fifa video game. If you play it for a while, you will learn alot

Yep, that's how I have learned all the teams. Then I went to wikipedia and looked up all the competetions and knew then I knew what the heck was going on. But you should definitely buy FIFA 09 when it comes out. If it's half as good as Euro 2008, then it will be awesome.

I see we've got a dead hippo in the poll above. That can easily be changed if we can enlist a couple of bloggers.

I think learning about FIFA would be fairly helpful to start with.
