With so much political capital expended on failed attempts at socialized health care, cap and tax energy, and losing elections in traditional Democrat strongholds, our fearless leader is reportedly turning his attention to a much more important issue on his national agenda. The Bowl Championship seriesSay what? With his administration spiraling out of control, approval rating in the toilet, and moderate democrats running from him like cockroaches when the lights are turned on, Obama has directed the juctice department to investigate the BCS for anti trust violations in an attempt to fulfill at…

Red state, blue state...how about Purple State? Yes, Massachusetts turned purple tonight. Scott Brown, former Massachusetts state Senator, now United States Senator, lands what was once thought of unthinkable...a Liberal seat. The seat, once held by the late Ted Kennedy, turned Red tonight. With this new Senator, the Democrats lose their fillabuster-proof majority in the Senate, and in all likelyhood, their Health Care bill. So what is next?Democrats have two opitions. The first option is to listen to Massachusetts and wait for Scott Brown to get down to Capital Hill to voice his…

Leading up to the election last year I wrote blogs...oh did I write blogs...warning of what I was seeing. I warned about Joe Biden. All attention was being paid to Sarah Palin, but Biden was ignored entirely. Joe is more dangerous to this country than Cheney ever was and his own words tell that story. Guess that's why the White House has since locked him in the cellar with duct tape over his mouth. I blogged about ACORN. This seemingly innocuous "community" group that received HUGE money from the Federal and state governments despite a repeated history of illegal actions. An organization…

As crazy as it may sound, Massachusetts might just kill any liberal program that tries to get through Congress

New date for my next blog: Wednesday, January 20: a recap of Massachusetts special election (Kennedy's seat) and what it means for the future of the country.

So, with CHRISTMAS coming up, I will become more and more active as the 2010 midterms get closer and closer. First election coverage: my home state of Massachusetts is having a special election January 19 to fill the vacant Kennedy seat.

Also, if Obama really wanted kids to learn more, then he shouldn't have gone on tv a month ago during the school day and encouraged school districts to take time away from Math and Science so the children can watch him talk.

In addition, America was once the leader in education. You know what subjects they taught back then? Writing, Math, Science, History, and the Arts (music, psychology, gym, etc). I have a simple solution to increase the grades: make learning a foreign language optional. Allow the high school kids to select what classes to take (with the exception of the main 4 - math, writing, science, history) rather than telling them what to take. Then, especially at high school, they can prepare themselves for their next step in life, whether it be college, the military, or a full-time job.

There is my proposal for increasing test scores in America, and look, it doesn't require an extended school day or going to school on Saturdays. If kids are interested in what they are learning, then they will stay out of trouble...simple as that.

oldpro1225 - How is the government going to pay for an extended school day in the first place? Teacher's salaries are going to have be raised, which means increasing taxes.

Secondly, everybody learns in different ways. Will an extended school day help some children? Yes, because they need to hear it from somebody to learn. What about the other children who learn better by reading on their own? An extended school day is going to do them harm.
