     I really believed it was gonna happen.     It looked so much like a slam-dunk for James Madison to head to the Division 1-AA championship game, going into last night.     All right, you want to hear me say it...so here it is: I was wrong.      As I'm writing this--close to 6:30 Eastern--James Madison is leading Villanova 24-20 early in the 4th quarter. I know this only because of the crawl on the bottom of the screen, as I watch the USC-UCLA game (on ABC).     If I wanted to watch the game, I'd be tuned to ESPN360 on my computer right now. Mickey Mathews and the Dukes are going spank NCCU this week. Hopefully the rain will have moved out of the area by kickoff so I don't think there is any threat of JMU being slowed by the weather.
