     I think the last blog I wrote for this group dealt with the Potomac Nationals winning the Carolina League championship, as well as the Nats' team in the Dominican Republic winning that title.     So, time to update the doings "down on the farm" for the Nats.     The only thing I have to contribute deals with Matt LeCroy being named the new manager @ Hagerstown. (That's the low-A team for the Nats, BTW.) Keeping Tony Tarasco on as the hitting coach for the Suns is a smart move...seeing as how Hagerstown led the…

The Cedar Rapids Kernels were awarded Minor League Baseball's John H. Johnson President's Trophy. The President's Trophy is MiLB's top award and is presented annually to honor the complete baseball franshise-based on franchise stability, contributions to league stabililty, contributions to baseball in the community, and promotion of the baseball industry.
