Seeing as it's baseball season, I decided it would be good to start out with a baseball book. I've never read this one, so I hope it's good. But, for our first book, everyone should go out and read:
The Last Best League: One Summer, One Season, One Dreamby Jim Collins
It's a book about the Cape Cod League that was recommended to me by a friend. I'd like to say two weeks would be enough time for us to read it. I'll tentatively schedule a discussion for 3:00 PM on Friday, June 11.
Let me know what works.

Many months ago, the founder of this group welcomed the Fannation Community to this warm place, where many could discuss the literary art without feeling the need to hide and cower. In his loquacious mission statement, he said:
FanNation is a place, first and foremost, for sports. However, this site is more than merely a depository for the lesser-known Sports Illustrated writers, despite what the redesigned homepage would have you believe. After all, I did make this book the first FanNation Book Club selection three weeks ago. So without further…

I don't care...I'm to tired to spell so don't even start guys...
Based on what I saw from Bigalke in a RECENT TD, I think you might need to open a Comics section in this libraray. Actually Zach...those comics are quite interesting in there history and such. Man I knew I should have grabbed all the movie rights when I was a kid. "Snap"
I left a few words in Mission Statement blog...
Yes Seabird thanks...I finally bowed to your pressure and joined.
If Dr. Seuss is the biggest book you can read, then yes, it does count.
Does Dr. Seuss count? I'm reading some to my kids tonight.
